My dog was having all kinds of skin issues--folliculitis, staph infections, irritation and rashes, you name it. I took him to the dermatology specialist at Texas A&M Veterinary Med Hospital and was able to get his issues under control. Due to his allergy to most proteins, we had to find something different...kargaroo it is! He loves it and it has made a world of difference.

Our 1 year old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is eating ONLY this Iams kangaroo and oats, and while she improved initially, now she is still scratching until she bleeds. No problem whatsoever with service or delivery. . . The issue is that she has other allergies ( dust mites, etc. ) and will need desensitization injections. I wish this had been the answer. Poor doggie! Bottom line- try it if your vet recommends it.

We are deviated to lose Skin & Coat! After a difficult 8 months of Vet visits, sores, itching, and daily vomiting for our Beloved French Bulldog we found Iams! It's all she has had for the last 4 years. ---Our dog too will surely die.

Please bring back this product!

Comments about Iams Veterinary Formulas Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat KO Dry Dog Food:

I am so saddened by the discontinuing of this product. My 14-year-old poodle terrier mix has been on Iams Skin & Coat Veterinary Formula for at least seven years. Before that he had constant ear infections and skin irritation. When my Vet convinced me that it was a chicken and poultry allergy, this was the only food he would eat, having been on Iams products his entire life. This formula worked! Since changing food he has not had one rash or ear infection, and he's quite healthy at 14 years of age. Please bring back this formula, It's worth the extra cost. Discontinuing his food will be the death of my dog.

Sad this is Discontinued! Saved my Little Yorkie!

Comments about Iams Veterinary Formulas Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat KO Dry Dog Food:

My little Yorkies has been on this food for over 8 years. This is the only thing he can keep down. Other foods he can not digest. He never gets treats or anything else to eat so switching his food is heart breaking! I am so nervous to do this but unfortunately have no choice. Thanks for all the good years. I hope we can find something else that will work and keep him healthy and out of the emergency vet!

Sad this will no longer be made

By bummer123

Comments about Iams Veterinary Formulas Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat KO Dry Dog Food:

I heard that IAMS sold off their veterinary formulas to Royal Cannin. I am very sad to hear this, since Royal Cannin does not carry anything compatible. This food has done an amazing job of helping to alleviate the itch and sores are dog would get due to his allergy to chicken, duck, turkey and corn. Any recommendations on other options to try?

BEING DISCONTINUED??

Comments about Iams Veterinary Formulas Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat KO Dry Dog Food:

I have been searching for the perfect formula for my Dalmatian Lab who has had ear & skin problems for more than 10 years off and on. One thing that was most constant was the ear infections. I've tried it all....meds, raw feeding, allergy testing and process of elimination of proteins and additives. After much much research, I tried this your kangaroo and oat diet & it is a miracle! I just started this food and have been feeding her about 3 months now.....after 2 weeks her ears were clearing. Her coat and skin is so much better. I am so sad, as this whole process is stressful for my dog. She has been so much happier and at peace.....now I will have to search again! I am disheartened.
