My dog was having all kinds of skin issues--folliculitis, staph infections, irritation and rashes, you name it. I took him to the dermatology specialist at Texas A&M Veterinary Med Hospital and was able to get his issues under control. Due to his allergy to most proteins, we had to find something different...kargaroo it is! He loves it and it has made a world of difference.

Our 1 year old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is eating ONLY this Iams kangaroo and oats, and while she improved initially, now she is still scratching until she bleeds. No problem whatsoever with service or delivery. . . The issue is that she has other allergies ( dust mites, etc. ) and will need desensitization injections. I wish this had been the answer. Poor doggie! Bottom line- try it if your vet recommends it.

My GSD has numerous allergies. His coat and skin have improved significantly on this food. He also digests it easily and no longer has loose stools. It's pricey but worth it.

Comments about Iams Veterinary Formulas Iams Veterinary Formula Skin and Coat KO Dry Dog Food:

Our 4 Year old boxer with severe allergies suffered through nearly 2 years of trial and era before the dermotologist put him kangaroo kibble. But new legislation 1st of the year 2016 has made it nearly impossible to get in California. Not sure what we're going to do now.

My daschund had chronic diarrhea for 6 months. We went to a specialist and she recommended kangaroo and oatmeal food. Iams was the only manufacturer that sold it. He has severe food allergies and this food finally gave him relief.

My yorkie can't digest regular food. We have tried it all.
A Vet Specialist recommended this brand over 5 years ago and he has been on it since.
I do freeze the entire bag for 48 hours before he consumes it. The vet told me to do this just to make sure.
I also place the rest of the food in a air tight container.
He really likes the food and usually eats it right when I put it down.
I also place water in the food and drain it before it go down for him. It makes it extra stinky but he likes it!
