My dog is an active Portuguese Water Dog but not as active as most. She likes a mile walk and a 3 to 4 mile hike. She can go a day w/o a walk and not totally freek out. That doesn't happen often but it does happen on those snowy cold days. She has always been a very picky eater. I have tried them all. Raw was the best but I just dont have the time and my life style is active and I cant always keep it cold and safe. So I need to feed her part dry. She was getting so many treats due to her not eating that I was noticing she was putting on weight. So we switched to this food. She loves it. I but a small amout of raw on top when we are home and when we are not she gobbles it up anyway! I am happy, she is happy, all is good.

Hi, My Boxer has been eating Wellness for years now. She is 8 yrs old and for the past 4 yrs has been eating Complete Health Chicken Reduced fat. About 2 months ago I switched her to Core reduced fat and she is not even half way thru her 2nd bag and she has a yeast infection in her ears and on her skin underneath her body. This has been verified by a Vet thru a culture. The Core is the only thing that has been changed. Now i am searching for another food to switch her to. I want to keep her grain free, and I am very disappointed that I have so much food left that I paid $62.00 for that i will now be unable to feed her. She is my helper dog so it is very important to me that she is healthy and happy.

Great for Dogs with digestive problems...

Comments about Wellness CORE Grain Free Reduced Fat Dry Dog Food:

My baby Diamond(7 year old Yorkie) was diagnosed with pancreatitis 2 years ago. Before that, he was always healthy. I've always fed him a good high quality kibble. But when he turned 5 he got really sick, he threw up blood and had really bloody stools. I freaked out and took him to the vet. His vet said it must've been something he ate. So he put him on antibiotics, nausea medication for a week, gave him an IV and sent us on our way. A few weeks later, same thing happened, and it was much worse than the first time. I rushed him to the Vet ER and thats where they found he had GI problems and his pancreatitis test came back inconclusive. Long story short, I started him on Wellness Core Reduced Fat, and thank God, it's been 2 years and he hasn't had any other pancreatic attacks. (Knock on wood) And another plus is that he really enjoys the taste. I DO NOT give him any treats or anything else besides his Omega3 chewy vitamin and his food. And he is a healthy, happy, fun loving little guy. Thank you WC because you have given my baby another chance at living...

My dog is diabetic. We use to cook his food but have put him on wellness core reduced fat. He loves it! But I agree with another post - there is a lot of dust in the bag.

Wellness Core Reduced Fat Dog Food

Comments about Wellness CORE Grain Free Reduced Fat Dry Dog Food:

We tried this as our old dog used to eat this. I am not sure if this is a new formula as Sara (who eats everything), refused to eat it. I even tried hand feeding and Sara spit it out. We returned it to Petco.
