Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula Roasted Bison & Venison Dry Dog Food What are the health benefits of venison for my dog?
Venison is an oft-overlooked meat when it comes to a dog’s diet, but it shouldn’t be, as it’s a highly beneficial one. Venison is a lean, protein-rich, heart-healthy meat that helps gives dogs strong bones and muscles. It’s also a highly digestible food source that particularly benefits dogs with protein sensitivities, as lean proteins tend to work better for these kinds of dogs. (The other main ingredient, bison, is also a highly digestible source of protein.)

A cup of Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula Roasted Bison & Venison Dog Food contains 3, 7719 kcal, which translates to calculated metabolized energy. Talk to your vet about the proper daily caloric intake for your dog. What are some of the main ingredients in Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula Roasted Bison & Venison Dry Dog Food?

I raised a difficult breeded Labradoodle from a pup. She was prone to stomach, coat, and vomit problems with regular inexpensive popular dog food brands. It took another 6 tries with other brands with lesser food value before I tried this one. She has been on this brand for over 11 months and all problems have ceased.
This brand has high food value to the dollar. It is available through local pet stores. It has more protein than most brands and a good level of fat for any dog.
Her digestion is now normal. Her stools are soft/dry and not overly smelly.
Her activity level is high, she has an excellent attention span. She can jump, run, quick turn, balance, seek/peek, and sneak. I credit all those attributes to the high grade food.
Her overall health is excellent, fine coat, strong bones, huge powerful muscles, clear eyes, no drainage, white teeth, and weighs 83lbs. at 15 months.

I have 2 rescue labs (one is a 80lb mix and the other is a senior 100 lb. English black lab). Let me first say that I have only been feeding them this brand for a week; so it's a little earlier to tell if their coats/skin itchiness will improve, but I have mixed reactions from my labbies about the taste. My senior is not too crazy at all about the taste (Bison/Venison) and every time I put down his bowl of food he looks at me like, "really....I have to eat that again?!" and the other lab just inhales the food (loves it). Now my senior lab eats everything usually especially dead things and trash so I was so surprised that he doesn't like the taste. So,...OK, I will be fair and buy the salmon flavor next and see how that goes. The product seems to be a very high quality food and I am anxious to see if this will help with all the scratching and biting on their poor legs & feet. I will comment back in a couple of weeks, but am staying very hopeful about TOTW food.

I like this dog food because the pebbles are small in size and it is grain free which keeps my dogs skin irritation free. They also like the taste. I think it's great they have many different flavors of this grain free food. Thumbs up.

Comments about Taste of the Wild High Prairie Canine Formula Roasted Bison & Venison Dry Dog Food:

My 14 year-old Norwich terrier developed major stomach and digestive problems. After trips to my vet, many tests, large vet bills, I took my dog off all of the specialized vet foods, did my research, went to a great small pet store, spoke to great people about great dog food. I tried a few with limited success until TASTE OF THE WILD. Wow!I put her on the Fish recipe and never looked back. I recommend this food to anyone who will listen to me. The probiotics in the food have changed her life and mine. She devours the fish. Never stop what you are doing. I would be lost! Thank you thank you thank you.

I am a dogsitter and have yet to find a dog that doesn't like Taste of the Wild. My dogs love it. Their coats are beautiful with it. Their energy levels are good. There are no digestive problems with it. It is pricey, but worth the cost. The ingredients are about the best you can get with a commercial dog food. I have fed it to puppies, adults seniors, tiny to x-large. I highly recommend Taste of the Wild. Many of my doggy guests have been switched to it.
