The size is somewhat of a problem, because her doctor said she could only have one a day. I have overcome the problem by using trimming nippers, the kind you use to cut flowers or trim trees or bushes. I can cut the treats into 6 pieces, so I can give her a treat 6 times during the day. It works great. I do wish they were a little cheaper, and that they had different flavors to choose from, just for a variety; but this is working fine.

My vet has recommended Hills Prescription Diet food and treats for my small 17 lb dog. I am extremely disappointed that you only manufacture one size treat that is way too large for my dog. In fact, she will swallow the treat bone whole and will not take the time to chew on it. The result is that in order to adhere to her prescription diet, I take a kitchen mallet or hammer to break eat treat bone in to approximately 5 smaller pieces. Since I am 63 and she is only 3, I could be spending a long number of years banging treat bones to smaller pieces! Please consider a smaller size version of this product in the future!!!

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet Canine Treats:

My 12-pound dog has a bladder stone issue. She is on Hill's c/d dog food. The vet recommended that she be taken off almost all of her other treats and give her one that is compatible with the c/d dog food. This one fits that criteria. It seems to be helping. Her symptoms have been dramatically reduced since following the vet's advice. The only problem that I have is that my little dog refuses to chew well and I am afraid that she will choke. I break the little bones up as well as I can, but that is quite difficult to do. I guess I will have to resort to some other method of breaking them up so she doesn't choke. Otherwise, I am very pleased with this product and will purchase it again. My little dog loves them.

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet Canine Treats:

I picked these up for my yorkie who frankly just does not get enough fiber in her diet. She loves treats, so she never turns these down when I offer them to her, though she might not eat it right on the spot, she definitely does munch it down at some point.

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet Canine Treats:

Our dog was trained with "treats" and she still depended on them for positive rewards. When she needed prescription food to prevent further urinary tract infections , we were worried about how to continue the "treat" reward system. These treats can be easily broken in half to offer a crunchy, healthy reward, They also are a different flavor than the food which we find keeps her interested.
