These pellets barely stick to the poop, leaving a STRONG poop smell. Due to the fact that they dont stick like traditional, the pellets that are tracked are covered in poop. They are less tracking than traditional litter, but their size makes it difficult for a vacuum to pick up. When you use the included sifter it leaves large portions of the pellets trapped, thus wasting much of your pellets. Reversely, the sifter also is too large for small pieces of poop. Thus leaving poop in your litter box and pellets in the trash.

Comments about BREEZE Litter System BREEZE Cat Refill Litter Pellets:

Only one of my two cats use the Breeze system on a regular basis. My senior diabetic cat uses it almost all the time & had no hesitation about doing so when I first set it up. My other young, healthy cat only uses it occasionally for urination. I'm not sure of the reason but believe it's because my old guy has staked it out as his territory. Fortunately, he's the one that uses the cat box the most (extremely frequent urination with diabetes), so this system has been incredibly helpful! Before I bought this, he made terrible messes with the regular scoopable litter. His urine would get on his paws, the litter would stick to them and he'd track dirty litter all over the house. It was disgusting. Now, with the pellets, no more tracking! I find pellets outside the box once in a while, but that's no big deal. If they're clean, they go back in the box. If dirty, I just throw them away. Much easier than vacuuming up dirty litter from the carpet every day. The only time I've found the pellets to be unhelpful is when the cat has loose stools. Runny feces make a mess of the pellets. In those cases I use a plastic grocery bag to scoop up all the dirty pellets with the feces to throw away & disinfect the plastic grating underneath that area. Then I must add more pellets. At those times, I do have to use a much larger amount of pellets per week than the manufacturer states. That's all right with me though, The extra cost is worth the convenience and improved cleanliness! In general (NOT during times of diarrhea!), I use one and a half bags of pellets per month. That one 3.5 pound bag really isn't enough. I think 5 pounds is more realistic. I also don't find the scoop that came with the system useful. I use a different one that actually picks up the pellets instead of pushing them around. Lastly, i must warn dog owners about the danger of their dogs eating the pellets. I've read several reviews on the Breeze in which dog owners stated their dogs ate their cat's litter (& we all know dogs do this!), which resulted in emergency room visits. The pellets are cement based & do not break down in the digestive tract so are potentially life threatening. So while I highly recommend this system for cat owners, I do NOT recommend it for households that also include dogs. Too risky in that case.

Comments about BREEZE Litter System BREEZE Cat Refill Litter Pellets:

I've used the Breeze system for many years. Minimal tracking. It may take two bags to fill a box, but each week when I change the pad I remove the pellets from the concentrated pee spot and may or may not add more. It lasts a LONG time that way. I have 2 cats and two boxes. The littler doesn't stick to the Poop--but that's ok--it still works as a desiccant. I tried to switch to some other "green" litters and the tracking or big clumps were just a big mess. I LOVE Breeze.

I tried going to a more "green" system, but the tracking was too much of a problem. After two weeks I went back to the BREEZE system. I love the minimal clean up. I change the pads every week, scoop out the pellets in the spot where the cats (pee) repeatedly, and add just a bit more litter pellets. The feces can't be flushed because of the pellets, but I dispose of in lunch sacks (to minimize plastic bag use) and throw out with the garbage. I've also started adding a little bit of baking soda to the pads after I change them--I think this helps with odor control.

I have 3 cats and use this for the one who is scared of the other 2 - she has her own box placed in a separate room and seems to like it that way - the other cats don't harass her as much when she tries to use it
She seems to pee at one end, so I finally figured out I could just turn the tray around mid week and the pee will go on the cleaner area
