    I recently got a 4 weeks old puppy, turning 5 this week. He's a Alaskan Husky/Yellow Lab mixed very adorable breed. He's supposed to be with mama dog until 6 weeks, but I was so impatient and just so excited about getting him that the owner allowed me to take him home a day after 4 weeks he suggested me to feed him soft wet food until he turns 6 weeks. So I went to buy him the high quality brand name soft wet food he ate the food but had a little problem eating the whole thing, plus everytime he potty its always watery or mushy. So I wanted to do it my own way by start feeding him puppy dry food, so after 2 days of feeding him soft wet food I wasn't happy, I decided to go buy IAMS Puppy food (Large Breed) to feed him, at first I was worried that he can't eat dry food yet and was worried that his poo will be the same. But I still gave it a try, after a day of eating IAMS puppy food there was a different his poo was solid I mean solid. So that means this puppy food went through his body and digest real well. I'm surprised he ate it, he ate the whole bow. And now that I him for 4 days, everytime he hears me open the bag he wag his tail and run to me in a very exciting mood. For those, who complain about how bad this food is then I disagree with you. And in my belief, I think its not so much about the more it cost the better its about how your puppy/dog accept it and how his or her body works. Every puppy/dog is different. I can easily go buy Blue Rhino brand which is pricey but if it has the same effect then why not go with IAMS which cost half the price. I don't care how much money you have or make, its about keeping your pets healty & strong and shopping smart. If your pets is liking the food then you know the food isn't that bad. Last but not least, IAMS is giving me and my little boy a good vibe for a start! I'll stick with IAMS for good. :)

    I have been feeding my two weims large breed puppy since they were born. A perfect food for them and rather cost effective. But, Iams has really disappointed me. I cannot get my dogs the food they are used to and they are simply posting signs which say TRY ONE OF OUR OTHER FOODS. Come on. I'm not gonna feed my puppys a adult food because they screwed up and are not currently producing my dogs food. Pretty disappointed and think Iams should make it right with dedicated Iams customers. (this close to switching to purina pro plan)

    Comments about Iams ProActive Health Smart Puppy Large Breed Formula Dry Dog Food:

    I just scooped a cup of food directly from the bag and there is some sort of a tooth in it. My puppies are three months old- they have tiny teeth so this is not one of theirs. What the heck?

    The only food we feed our puppy

    By Minnas Mommy

    Comments about Iams ProActive Health Smart Puppy Large Breed Formula Dry Dog Food:

    We got our Rottweiler puppy when she was only 8 weeks old. The breeder weened the puppies on Iams so we kept her on it. Everyone comments on how beautiful her coat is. She has been gaining 10 lbs per month. I took her to the vet today, she gained 11 1/2 lbs since last month and she's not even 5 months old yet! We feed her the amount recommended on the package and no more. A beautiful coat, bright eyes, beautiful white teeth and 51 1/2 pounds tells me that this is the best for my puppy!

    I Love the food but hate the BAG :-}

    By Gemma Tiller

    from Olive Branch, MS, United States

    Comments about Iams ProActive Health Smart Puppy Large Breed Formula Dry Dog Food:

    My Boston T pup loves it, she eats it up. I even use it in training because I really don't know what training treats are good for her. The only problem I have with it is the Bag. The writing on the bag is almost impossible to read because of the no contrast of the color of the text vs the bag. Also the feeding instructions are confusing as in the older and the heavier the dog gets the bag recommends less food per day. Well It really doesn't make sense to me. I'm guessing I am supposed to mix grown up dog food with what the label says to the amount on the label but there is no mention of that on the bag. Any comments on that?
