I made the switch to Hill's Science Diet for many reasons. The main being my dogs went straight to the bowl for it, and they've never done that before with other dog foods. It's ingredients are natural, healthy, and not filled with by products or fillers. The health of you dog is guaranteed to improve in 30 days, or they will refund your money. I am pleased to purchase from a company who values my pets' health as much as I do.

Ok, so heres the breakdown. Most people get deceived when a meat is listed as the first ingredient. Ingredients are listed based on weight prior to extrusion(cooking), and since raw chicken is 80% water, once its cooked, it moves way down the list. So you are mostly feeding a bunch of grains. I would never feed anything lower then 26% protein since you are risking your dog developing diabetes, gaining weight, loss of muscle mass, etc. Hills is always looking for ways to cut corners just to make the most profit and this food is not an exception. You can get better quality food for $10-15 less.

Comments about Hill's Ideal Balance Natural Chicken & Brown Rice Mature Adult Recipe Dry Dog Food:

After much research and consultation with our Vet, we settled on this food for our eight year old, female yellow lab. Long story short, excellent food, excellent results, and does not break the bank. If you don't have the time or desire to do the research or don't understand the nuances of dog food, just take it from me--buy this food for your senior dog.

Comments about Hill's Ideal Balance Natural Chicken & Brown Rice Mature Adult Recipe Dry Dog Food:

My 13-year old dog LOVES this food! It was recommended to me by my vet over a year ago and I have been feeding it ever since. I like that it's specifically for mature dogs (7+) so it's got all the nutritional ingredients that the older dog requires. Great product!!

Comments about Hill's Ideal Balance Natural Chicken & Brown Rice Mature Adult Recipe Dry Dog Food:

While I guess you can never know, my dog slightly over 1 year old retriever has always eaten this easily, digestion seems fine, and most importantly his energy level, overall health and his coat are all in fine order. I believe this is a very nutritional food that is quite reasonable.

            Service and delivery comments:

Delivery was incredibly prompt. Ordered it Tuesday, got it at my door Wednesday - how wonderful is that! Great service, well packed and super quick.
