Product Details

To the human eye, a German shepherd may appear to have no vulnerabilities. Do not be fooled by the strong, even regal appearance of your dog. He or she needs your tender loving care. Many large breeds are prone to the discomfort of bloating. Royal Canin Breed Health German Shepherd (24) Dry Dog Food has a large, cross-shaped kibble that slows the rate of food ingestion, which helps with your dogs sensitive digestive system. Unique protein sources and soluble and insoluble fibers combine to move food through the digestive tract and promote optimal digestion and nutritional absorption. Your pets skin is extremely alkaline and very sensitive, predisposing him or her to hotspots. Royal Canins specialized recipe contains omega 3 fatty acids to reduce inflammation, and amino acids to strengthen the natural skin barrier. It includes key vitamins and minerals to help build natural defenses and reinforce the immune system. As German shepherds age, their joints exhibit the stress of a very active and athletic lifestyle. This diet includes supplemental glucosamine and chondroitin to help support healthy joints and reduce inflammation as your dog ages. Keeping your regal pet strong and healthy for as long as possible.

I originally used the German Shepherd puppy food you have and the breeder used. I then switched to the adult German Shepherd food. My dog has been on NOTHING different and will be 7 yrs old in Sept. He is the 4th German Shepherd I've had. All others were on other foods and all had severe hip problems. This dog is the healthiest pet with excellent hips, skin, hair, etc. My vet cannot believe he's this healthy and while he can't carry the regular food because if me they began to carry all prescription food you make. I THANK YOU for all you put into the products affording me the greatest joy of my life.. My dog!

About a month ago I bought a bag of this because I loved that it was tailored to my GSD and the potential problems they have with digestion. I have an 18 month old shep who is not a picky eater, but I am always trying to feed her the best. At first, this was a great dog food and I was quite happy. However, after raving about it to a fellow GSD owner in our agility class, I was really disappointed. She encouraged me to look at the ingredients, and there I realized that this (incredibly expensive) food is made up of by product and garbage, and has less than the veterinarian recommended 30% of crude protein in a feeding. Not to mention, I had to feed FIVE CUPS of this to my dog when a typical feeding of her previous food, Blue Buffalo, was 1.5 cups twice a day. When you pay this much for a bag of dry food and then realize you're getting ground up chicken parts with oil and not the full nutritional value your dog should be eating, you will change your food too.

Great but packaging problem

Comments about Royal Canin Breed Health German Shepherd Adult Dry Dog Food:

It's very good product..no words to describe how awesome and healthy it is for my dogs.. They just go crazy for royal canine and there is no need for any supplement after royal canin It's just that I buy a 12kg pack and it does not have a ziplock system and once the 8kgs left got all ruined by moisture despite my trying to seal the pack by knotting the pack..now I have to put the 12 kgs in different ziplock packs. ..it's waste of time..also there is no cup included to measure the feed..

The best food ever

By Cristian

Comments about Royal Canin Breed Health German Shepherd Adult Dry Dog Food:

My GSD has no stomach problems, itch or lack of appetite. He is always active, very nice coat, very good digestion and he loves it. All the others foods, (Orijen, Buffalo and Merrick) don't get no even close to this product. They bragged so much about the natural and organic but that's not what the dog needs and there is no scientific research in their food. It's scientifically proven that all the ingredients in Royal canin are better, example; Chicken by product meal it's higher in protein and contains less ash than regular Chicken used by other brands. The rice is absolutely better than the other ingredients used in those brands, rice will get unique benefits to your GSD due to its specific needs. People get the misconception that human food and natural-organic it's better for your dog but it's pure social stigma. I would not recommend any other brand for your GSD. I love my dog too much and I would not sacrifice his health for Cheaper or anything else.

Comments about Royal Canin Breed Health German Shepherd Adult Dry Dog Food:

We started using RC German Shepherd puppy food from the first day we brought home our little girl at 10 weeks, and moved over to RC Adult food in the last four months. Our GSD has always enjoyed and is always excited for a new bowl of food.
