I work at a veterinary clinic and when this diet came out I was so enthusiastic to try it! My cat who was a year old at the time had some behavior problems and I was willing to try almost anything to help cope with him. This was back in 2010 and I never took him off it because I was worried that it may or may not be helping. Finally, 2016, I decided to take him off it to see if I noticed a difference. Unfortunately, he has been off the Calm food for 4 months now and I will most definitely say that for him it wasn't very beneficial. He is exactly the same as hes always been and now 5 years later I'd rather not keep him on a food that is more expensive for no reason. That being said, I haven't heard any news on other cats who consume this product, and from what I understand it can be very helpful for cats with urinating outside the litter box as well as anxiety. It's really a shame too because I was so excited when this product initially came out. Also, the fact that he was on this diet for so long leads me to believe that whatever help it should have accomplished was a failure for my cat.

Two Turkish Van Cats

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Calm Formula Dry Cat Food:

Ive been using this for a few months. The older female (3) gets stressed and jealous. The younger male (1) often wants to play when she does not. Both are sterilized but they are still active & alert cats. This food takes the edge off both of them and they get along better.

I bought this diet for my fearful cat who was going to be an indoor cat for the next few months. This diet has made her more relaxed and friendly. She seems more comfortable and interactive.

Best food ever

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Calm Formula Dry Cat Food:

We have 8 cats and sometimes they chase on another. One of our cats licked all of her belly hair off and on all 4 paws chewed the hair off. One vet told us to rehouse her. After one month of being on the Calm food all of her hair returned and she is like a new cat. One of our ferrel cats that is now a house cat eats this food and he is so relaxed he lets you pet him and play with him
