Comments about Natural Balance Fat Cats Formula Dry Cat Food:

I adopted my cat 3 years ago and have only fed her this food. When I adopted her she she'd like crazy and weighed 21 pounds.
My cats coat is now silky smooth and a brush once a week gets rid of all excess shedding.
As of her vet visit on 2/23/17 she weighed 11.6 pounds!

Bottom line: With portion control, this product will promote weight loss, I fed her a cup of food a day portioned out throughout the day.

However, this food consistently has had the bottom 1/4 of the bag riddled with powder. You will have to invest in a sifter as the dust might hurt your kitty's tummy.

I would also say that this foods ingredients list gives me reason to believe that it's not as healthy as I once thought.

Comments about Natural Balance Fat Cats Formula Dry Cat Food:

My overweight cat lost weight on this and he likes it. It takes a few months for cats to loose weight so be patient. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that at the bottom of the bag and a little throughout the bag is a crumb/powder like of the dry food. I reported this to the company and they claimed it was a one time thing but it happens every time I buy it, regardless of where I get it from. Might be that it lacks in much fat to bind it.

Comments about Natural Balance Fat Cats Formula Dry Cat Food:

I often have to use a sifter because of the fine crumbs that accumulate. All my cats love the dry food so I portion it out....cats will gain weight with any dry food so I feed them this dry AND wet canned food.

This food helped my 12 year old cat loose weight. I measure out what the bag suggests and after a few months he lost, coat looks better and he likes it.

Comments about Natural Balance Fat Cats Formula Dry Cat Food:

Our 20-pound tomcat will eat almost anything, unfortunately. Our vet recommended Fat Cats low cal food, as we've been unsuccessful getting him to lose weight on other low cal foods. We ordered it, and our cat absolutely refuses to eat it. We tried mixing small amounts of it with his old diet food - he picked out the old food and left the Fat Cats untouched. Finally, when he got very hungry, he ate a few pieces of it and walked around meowing loudly until we fed him his old food.

Our cat probably isn't unique. I don't mean to trash this food, but these are the facts. We will continue looking for nutritious, low cal food for him, but this one didn't work.
