The younger of my two cats was plagued with urinary tract blockages. He had two emergency and very expensive vet treatments to save his life. The vet recommemded using this Purina prescription product after the grocery store urinary tract blends were not doing the job. Boh of my cats love this food and eat it freely. The younger cat has had no more trouble with blockages after about a year of use. I am quite happy with this food. It is life saving. The extra cost is worth it for the effectiveness.

My cat seems to like this new Urinary blend that we have to have him on post-blockage. He'd been on all dry food leading up to the hospital visit because he has bad teeth (and actually, we think the stress of the cleaning may have been to blame for the block). Wet food is messier but he seems to like this brand and hasn't had any issues with digestion, etc. We'll stick with it because we have to, but I am not thrilled with the amount of animal by-products in the ingredient list. We took great care to keep those out of our cat's diet but it seems we don't have a choice, looking at this and the other vet-prescribed Urinary blends. C'est la vie.

Great results

Comments about Purina Veterinary Diets UR St/Ox Urinary Formula Dry Cat Food:

This was my last resort. I tried 2 other foods, canned and dry, and my cats just nibbled at them. I served this and they gobbled it up. I've been buying it since last June.

Our cat loves this food especially the turkey

Comments about Purina Veterinary Diets UR St/Ox Urinary Formula Dry Cat Food:

We switched over after having issues with Royal Canin quality and steep price increases from our previous vet. Our cat loves the turkey and enjoys the salmon. Can I suggest that Purina consider a chicken flavor as a new flavor?

My Cats Love the Product

Comments about Purina Veterinary Diets UR St/Ox Urinary Formula Dry Cat Food:

My cats love the canned Salmon UR food. They are gravy lovers, so this was perfect. I tried Royal Canin urinary tract first and they were not happy with it. I only wish the product was more budget friendly.

Helpful Product That My Cat Likes

By Cat lover

from Lancaster, PA, United States

Comments about Purina Veterinary Diets UR St/Ox Urinary Formula Dry Cat Food:

My cat was displaying symptoms of urinary tract infection by peeing next to her litter box. I took her to the vet. They treated her and prescribed a urinary diet food. She did not like it and did not eat much of it, I tried another brand with the same result . She was eating minimally and losing weight . On our next trip to the vet I found out there was a Purina Urinary Diet, so I purchased that one. She only eats dry food. My kitty likes it and is doing well on it and gaining some weight back. She looks much better. Thank you Purina for making your veterinary diets taste good
