The younger of my two cats was plagued with urinary tract blockages. He had two emergency and very expensive vet treatments to save his life. The vet recommemded using this Purina prescription product after the grocery store urinary tract blends were not doing the job. Boh of my cats love this food and eat it freely. The younger cat has had no more trouble with blockages after about a year of use. I am quite happy with this food. It is life saving. The extra cost is worth it for the effectiveness.

My cat seems to like this new Urinary blend that we have to have him on post-blockage. He'd been on all dry food leading up to the hospital visit because he has bad teeth (and actually, we think the stress of the cleaning may have been to blame for the block). Wet food is messier but he seems to like this brand and hasn't had any issues with digestion, etc. We'll stick with it because we have to, but I am not thrilled with the amount of animal by-products in the ingredient list. We took great care to keep those out of our cat's diet but it seems we don't have a choice, looking at this and the other vet-prescribed Urinary blends. C'est la vie.

Comments about Purina Veterinary Diets UR St/Ox Urinary Formula Dry Cat Food:

It is convenient to get a couple of bags at a time and not have to try to go to vets office to purchase the low ur diet cat food. They leave my package at my door and it arrives quickly and is well packaged.

Comments about Purina Veterinary Diets UR St/Ox Urinary Formula Dry Cat Food:

Both of my cats have had problems with urinary tract blockages. One cat recently needed bladder surgery to remove stones. I am very happy to find a food that will help with the urinary trace blockages and still be liked by my cats. I have tried other prescription foods that they will not eat. Both cats seem to really like Purina Veterinary Diets UR St/Ox Urinary Formula Dry Cat Food

      Great taste

Comments about Purina Veterinary Diets UR St/Ox Urinary Formula Dry Cat Food:

My poor little Tigger had crystals in his urine. Horrible time for both of us. The vet put him on this and he loved it. My other two cats love it too. Lucky who would only eat one kind of cat food and nothing else no matter how good or expensive it was. Lucky took one bite and wouldn't let anyone else have any. Now I have three cat food bowls instead of one, since apparently it is the best thing ever. Tigger has not had any issues since he started on this food and is a very happy and healthy little fur baby now. Thank you Purina!
