We have a dear little Norwich Terrior named Monti. When he was a puppy he developed urinary crystals which caused him painful urination we noticed it because he was having accidents in the house from holding his urine for long periods of time. Since starting this diet he no longer suffers from crystals. Within a few days of feeding him anything but this, for instance if he has too many treats or dental nuggets we have found he quickly develops crystals and has urinary issues so we keep him away for any other foods.

It is a RX product so not much choice of using it. It certainly has taken care of the crystal issue and much cheaper than surgery for my little Bishon. I have 2 dogs that are each on a RX diet with
crystals. I alternate between buying at the vet and using Pet Food Direct. I'm not always happy with the delivery of Pet Food Direct. Sometimes it takes 1 day and other times it takes a week and I get an e-mail that they are checking with the vet Why? Its a lifetime RX so they should look at the protocol for doing this. Overall pricing is about average-expensive no matter what.

Our Bichon Frise is prone to have crystals in her bladder (it's part of the breed). This really keeps her healthy. She likes it which is important and the value on Pet Food Direct is unbeatable.

My Bichon loves this food! It has performed as designed as he has not developed any additional bladder stones since his operation. The down side is that it is expensive. Waiting for a sale or a coupon that does not exclude prescription food.
