My Mini Aussie got a very large bladder stone and had surgery to remove it. 6 months later he had new ones. This is when we switched him to RC Urinary SO. 6-8 weeks later they were almost completely disolved. We are staying with this product because it works. Best part is he likes the taste aas well. It is also less expensive than the first product we tried. you get our paws up on this product. Thanks Merlin and Lee

While our dog enjoys the product and it appears to be the "right choice", dealing with the people at Pet Food Direct is a real hassle. I am looking for another source to purchase the particular dog food needed; briefly, we ordered on 7/30 and was told the product would be shipped out in 24-48 hours. Ten days later it still hadn't arrived, and I was told that our vet hadn't yet signed off on a re-order. WHY WERE WE NOT TOLD? Than our vet and the Pet Food Direct people were in conflict over the date the actual recommendation had been ordered. While Pet Food Direct ended up supplying the ordered product at no charge (which I do appreciate) it easily took 8-10 phone calls to get to that point. Just not worth the hassle. Ironically, this is not the first time this has happened. Pet Food Direct needs to train their front-line people and internal organization.so
long, Pet Food Direct!

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Urinary SO Dry Dog Food:

I have a male pug who suffered from significant urinary track infections and he was over weight. We put him on this food and he lost 1/2 his weight (40 pounds down to 20 pounds) and it has been well over 2 years since he suffered an infection. I would recommend this product and this company. Initially I applied of the wrong food as I forgot to denote "moderate' weight food. They called my vet and highlighted the incorrect order and fixed it for me. The deliver was prompt and I like that I do not have to travel to my vets anymore to secure the food as my schedule is hectic. This is the first time I purchased any pet foods via a male order delivery.

My Daisy had problems when she was about a year old with kidney stones and had to have surgery! Thankfully and hopefully to her being on this food, it has not happened again!

Maggie did not like the taste at first. So my wife out put 1/2 cup of the dog food in her bowl and two teaspoons of water and mix and microwave for 10 seconds. This brought out the chicken smell and Maggie loved it. We also put some in the refridgerator and keep that cold for her treats. She loves it cold for treats. She now eats it without us heating it up. We are very happy with this dog food. Maggie had to have surgery two years ago for a bladder stone. She has been stone free since we started her on the Royal Canin. Jimmy Clark

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Urinary SO Dry Dog Food:

I have been primarily using the wet food and decide to purchase the dry to stretch my dollar.

I am happy there is a food we can purchase for our special needs dogs. Buzzy had a stone so we are trying this food to make sure he doesn't get another one. Being this food is so expensive compared to others, I purchased the kibble and only put a spoonful of the wet food on top. I am hoping to stretch my dollar here as the kibble is quite expensive too. Being that Buzz is only 10.5 lbs I can afford this food. If I had a 150 lb dog, would be living in the dog house with the dog cause I wouldn't be able to afford anything else. LOL. Food is sufficient and we are in the testing phases with the vet. so far, so good for about 6 months.
