Comments about Dyson Ball Multifloor Upright Vacuum Cleaner:

Right from the start it's a no-brainer! Very quick and easy to assemble (i.e. stress-free). So lightweight and easy to use; easy to dump cannister. And simply unbelievable what has been coming out of my carpet! I cannot thank you enough for such a wonderful vacuum. Highly recommended.

Dyson Ball Multifloor 2

Comments about Dyson Ball Multifloor Upright Vacuum Cleaner:

I have a long-haired miniature dachshund that sheds a lot. I recently vacuumed my house with my old vacuum cleaner. When I received the Dyson Ball Multifloor 2 vacuum, I swept my house again. I was amazed with how much more dirt the Dyson was able to pick up! The Dyson was lightweight, easy to assemble, and easy to use. It was great on the carpet as well as the hardwood and tile floors. The only thing I can think of to improve the Dyson Multifloor 2 would be to have a retractable cord. I am going to give my old vacuum cleaner to my son.

Amazing and powerful machine

Comments about Dyson Ball Multifloor Upright Vacuum Cleaner:

I am very pleased to have this amazing Dyson, very powerful and lightweight for the suction it has. It lifts the nap on our short shag carpet, plus it glides on the hardwood floors, vinyl, and ceramic tile. Very efficient and easy to use. With the extra long cord I can clean all the rooms on the main floor without unplugging it. No bag to mess with, just hit the button and empty the canister. Dyson vacuums are simple and extremely effective.

I honestly love this vacuum

Comments about Dyson Ball Multifloor Upright Vacuum Cleaner:

I received the Dyson Multi Floor 2 and was requested to review it. The following is my honest assessment of the product. I already own a Dyson Multi Floor (original) vacuum and have used it for several years. I find that there are not a lot of differences between the original and the newer multi floor. The newer one is slightly heavier but it also has a slightly larger bin to hold debris. The power cord seems to be the same length as well as the wand reach, and the design is very much the same. I did, however, notice that the suction power was a lot better in the multi floor 2 and I thought the original one had great suction power. My one complaint (the same for any bagless vacuum) is that if you are vacuuming a lot of hair (like from a dog) then that gets caught up in the container and it is difficult to empty without shaking it and thus stirring up the dust.) I use a hook device cut off from a hanger to help grab and pull the air out. I am not one to use my hands for that. But that is my only issue. Overall I truly believe that the Dyson is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. I love the Dyson multi floor (original and 2) because of its ease of switching from one type of floor to another. I use this on carpet (both deep pile and not as deep), hardwood floors, vinyl, ceramic and porcelain tile and laminate flooring. I also have a dog that sheds quite a bit in the spring. The Dyson Multi-Floor 2 does a great job of cleaning all of these floors and is easy to use. The control is right there to switch between carpet and not carpet; the wand detaches swiftly and easily and allows you to reach those harder to reach places. The wand detaches at the top so you’re not kneeling down to the bottom of the vacuum like you do for other brands to get to it. It takes a few turns to get used to the way this vacuum moves but after a bit you’ll find that it is so much easier to vacuum with the ball than a straight back and forth style. It is easy to take it apart for cleaning. Best of all, you don’t have to purchase filters or bags! I have used other vacuums in the past but this is my absolute favorite. I highly recommend this product.

Very good vacuum, but not for everyone.

Comments about Dyson Ball Multifloor Upright Vacuum Cleaner:

Overall, the Dyson is a very good vacuum with a lot of ease when it comes to overall use and maintenance. It is extremely easy to empty the chamber and to clean the filters. This is great because I'm more apt to maintain something if its not tedious therefore prolonging its longevity. This Dyson is quite powerful, maybe too powerful. It was awesome on our low pile rugs. Seemed to pull itself forward probably due to the rotating brush. It would be perfect for a house with a lot of low pile carpeting. Unfortunately, we have mostly hard wood floors and a lot of long pile/shag rugs. It works great for most hard wood floor applications except for larger crumbs. The auto-adjusting plate on the vacuum head creates more suction for various floors but it also limits the size of the debris that can be sucked up. We have a young child and a baby so there are food crumbs, i.e. cheerios, everywhere which can only be picked up by a small hose attachment and not the vacuum head itself. Takes a lot longer. As far as the longer pile/shag rugs are concerned it becomes quite the chore. It seemed to suck itself to the rugs and took a lot of effort to push/pull. I'm an average sized male and I seriously doubt that my mother would be able to do all our shag rugs without getting winded. For four years I have owned a Dyson DC40 which seems to have the same size body and weighs less due to the smaller vacuum head. It seems to have a little less suction probably due to the smaller head but that means its a lot more maneuverable. What's the point in more suction if it takes too much effort to move? The larger head of the Multifloor 2 is taller/thicker than the DC40 as well. It didn't fit under our kitchen and bathroom cabinets so I was forced to use the attachment hose. Another downfall is that the plastic handle, which is made up of two plastic parts, feels like it will break or crack at the seams. The DC40 has the same handle but since it's lighter and doesn't suck itself to rugs as much the DC40 doesn't feel like it's going to break. This is a complaint I have for both Dyson vacuums in general. There are too many plastic parts that feel like or will break with a little too much force or if dropped. Overall, it seems to be a very good vacuum but for our household needs I prefer the DC40.
