The food this company makes is the closest I can find to raw until I actually get to feed mine raw more often. The value is amazing... actually because it is so dense with nutrients, my cats eat less and I spend less feeding them this brand of food than the other premium brands I was feeding them before.

The canned is a dense pate style that needs to be mashed down. My cats had not been fond of pate textures of other brands of foods in the past. It took about 4 days for one of my cats to recognize it as her new food. She had to be enticed but it ends up she is loving it! (Patience pays off!) The other cat will eat anything and there was no problem getting her to eat it. The both now eat all 3 available flavors and seem to love the rabbit the best.

Their coats are magnificent! Their stools are small and odorless, similar to what it would look like if they were on a raw diet. My oldest cat who had mild digestive issues doesn't have them anymore. Hooray! I also noticed that while on this brand of food, the crusty sleepies in their eyes are just about non-existent. I hardly have to groom their faces anymore. And they are so active I can hardly believe they have that much energy for their ages.

I honestly believe that having no synthesized vitamins makes a world of difference. I had to go back to my old brand of kibble for a short time because I was waiting for my next Nature's Logic order to arrive. On their old brand the cats were producing so much extra waste and it wasn't nearly as healthy-looking. The difference really is amazing.

There is no doubt to me the Nature's Logic foods are truly easy to digest and the nutrients are absorbed and used! I hope they continue to grow and the product becomes more well known and available. I recommend it to everyone with cats!

Comments about Nature's Logic Chicken Dinner Fare Feline Canned Formula:

I feed this to my 14-year-old ocicat, who we adopted from a friend a year or so ago. He used to eat your cheap, everyday grocery store canned and dry cat food, but his health was pretty poor (he's over the hill, to be sure, but also has a chronic upper respiratory infection, etc., and I don't think his diet was helping). I did a lot of reading on what cats need and why most foods on the market aren't the greatest for our furry friends. Nature's Logic is one of the few (and the best in value) that I have found to fit the bill.

A few facts about the product:
    * No added synthetic vitamins/minerals. Truly natural food. What would otherwise be provided by chemical alterations is supplied through the addition of organ meats, etc.
    * Made with ingredients from human-edible processing facilities, in pet food manufacturing facilities with quality certifications.
    * It's not watered down. A lot of canned food is very wet, which can be appealing to cats and is easy to serve, but it also means you get less bang for your buck. I add water and mash it in with the food, which only takes a few moments extra.

    Other pros I've noticed:
    * Our Ollie's respiratory issues have greatly improved. He used to wheeze a lot, but I rarely hear the wheezing now (in fact, I can't remember the last time I did)
    * He no longer sheds entire new cats (haha) when you pet him. His coat is soft and healthy-looking. I had asked his vet if modifying his diet would help, and she said she doubted it. Well, maybe she figured all pet foods are created equal. I don't believe that anymore!
    * The food smells like food when you open the can, and not in the can-of-tuna kind of way. It actually smells pleasant, if you like the smell of turkey with rosemary, etc. (We have tried the chicken, turkey, and rabbit varieties, all with success.) My husband even remarked upon it, and he normally hates how canned cat food smells.
    * I don't always get to the bowl when the leftover bits are still wet, so I've noticed that when it is dry and I go to clean it, it comes off much more easily than the old Friskies. I'm not sure why, but it's a nice little bonus!

Tips for getting your cat to eat it:
I shouldn't wonder if a cat turns up his nose at is if it's served as-is, and/or without any introduction period. Cats are picky and need time to adjust to something new. Since it's so dry (this is on purpose - check the company website), add water and mash it in, if your cat is used to a wetter food. Mix it in a bit at a time each meal with the cat's usual food, gradually upping the ratio until he's completely on the new food. You may find your cat drinks less water if he's used to eating dry food, and that's normal, since he's getting more from his new wet diet. My cat actually had a problem staying hydrated before I started him on this food (despite frequent changes of fresh water throughout the day), and that problem is long gone now!

If you're not sold on why you should try it, read up on the product at http://natureslogic.com/. It probably sounds like I got this product free "in exchange for my honest, unbiased review," but nope, I purchased it like everybody else, and was not asked to review it. I'm just very pleased! I hope your cats love it as much as mine does!

Comments about Nature's Logic Chicken Dinner Fare Feline Canned Formula:

I usually buy Evo or Nature's Variety Instinct. I decided to give this brand a try. Unfortunately, neither of my cats would eat it. The plate of food remained barely touched even after 24 hours. The food is also hard and dry considering it is canned. I wouldn't buy it again.

Comments about Nature's Logic Chicken Dinner Fare Feline Canned Formula:

My two year old male cat had urniary tract crystals, After spending almost $1,000 to save him I started doing research on the causes. I also recently bought a Ragdoll kitten and I wanted to make sure this didn't happen to him. Cats don't hunt grain and veggies, They eat meat. Natures Logic is the closest I could find to their natural diet. I tried the rabbit first and they didn't like it, It was very dry, I then bought the chicken and they really seem to like it. I also quit feeding dry cat food, It also is not good for cats, Not enough moisture. My cats are my kids, No junk food for them.
