My poor cat (a stray so we have no idea about his first years) was throwing up about once every 2-3 days. The vet completely checked him out and determined he didn't have a medical condition. She recommended we feed him d/d--a novel protein diet. What a life saver. He can digest this (both wet and dry) without getting sick. I was at my wits end with cleaning up cat barf and this definitely did the trick for our Benjamin.

For the first few months, this food was fantastic with a nice smell and soft texture. My cats loved it and thrived. Then we got a batch with a new "Best By" date. It smelled unpleasantly strong and slightly metallic to my nose and the cats wouldn't go near it. I finally threw out all three cases and waited for the next "Best By" batch. They finally ate this after significant persuasion. The latest batch just arrived and they immediately turned their noses up at it. Had hoped that a prescription food would be more consistent. My cats both do well on this food, so will keep trying to convince them to eat it.

This is keeping my 16yr old cat alive and well

My cat needs to eat this food because she has severe stomach issues and her stomach gets inflamed super easy , so if she doesn't eat this food, she throws up and can't stop. I wish it wasn't as expensive as it is, but its keeping my first fur baby alive.
