I spent many of days looking for an alternative cat food for my cats. One is diabetic and the rest have mild to severe allergies. I was getting frustrated as to the prices for prescription cat food. And it was easier to feed all the cats the same thing then seperate foods. After a long discussion with my vet, he reccomended that I try your food. My cats love it and I have noticed the oldest who is 18 yrs. stopped bitting and scratching herself. I would reccomend this to all cat owners.

This is actually the first cat food review that I have ever done, but I thought it was important that I do it !!
My cat is not finicky at ALL when it comes to dry food. I have fed her seven or eight different types of natural and organic dry foods in the past few years, and she ate them ALL.
I am gradually changing her diet to a high protein, low carb diet so that she can lose a little weight, and I started her on Innova Evo.
(She LOVES the Evo !!)
I saw that Nature's Variety Instinct was also a very high protein, low carb dry food, so I purchased some of that to give her some variety.
Well......the Instinct dry food is the first dry food I have bought that she will not eat !!
When I first opened the bag and set some out, she tried a couple bites, and apparently decided that she did NOT like it !!
She would never eat ANY of it after that.
I would put the food in front of her, and she would just turn her head and walk away !!
Just wanted to let everyone know what my experience with this food was, because my NON-finicky cat did NOT like it !!

Comments about Nature's Variety Instinct Grain Free Rabbit Meal Dry Cat Food:

I own a 14 year old male cat. Had to switch cat foods since his digestive tract became poor in age. This food is a lot easier on him and seems to prefer it over the cheaper stuff I once bought him. Improved his health and no longer vomits up his food.

Comments about Nature's Variety Instinct Grain Free Rabbit Meal Dry Cat Food:

My cat really likes this food, especially since I bought the type with freeze dried bits of chicken. I occasionally give him a bit of canned tuna but try not to give him soft food as I worry about his teeth.

Comments about Nature's Variety Instinct Grain Free Rabbit Meal Dry Cat Food:

I bought a bag of this food thinking it would be a nice upgrade for my two indoor boys. It ended up being a nightmare. First they didn't want anything to do with it, and when they did finally start eating it, it transformed their bowel movements into the foulest, nastiest diarrhea I've ever dealt with in my entire life as a cat owner. It was so bad, it would wake me up in the middle of the night when one of them used the box. And I would also immediately have to take them into the shower to wash off the fur around their bums so they didn't track the diarrhea all over the house. Every time they poo'd. The food itself had a nasty odor that filled the house along with lingering diarrhea smells.
As soon as I went back to a brand they'd had before, it all stopped almost overnight.

Comments about Nature's Variety Instinct Grain Free Rabbit Meal Dry Cat Food:

I have stuck with the same store bought brand for years. The last cat I just rescued had chronic diarrhea. The Vet saw a parasite, so we took care of that problem. But then she still had diarrhea. I was giving her FortaFlora, it did great for getting her stool closer to normal. Still no change after 2 weeks. Then we confirmed it must be the food she was allergic to. The Vet recommened a rabbit and pea diet. I did research and found Nature's Variety. One person had mentioned chronic diarrhea in the reviews. I have mixed it half and half with the other food for transitioning over. My other 3 cats have no problems with it, even 2 of the 3 that has food issues themselves. So all 4 cats are doing AWESOME on this food. I am glad to see a natural food that is made in the USA and none of my cats have had issues after 2 weeks and still going strong.

Comments about Nature's Variety Instinct Grain Free Rabbit Meal Dry Cat Food:

I have tried several natural, grain-free varities of dry cat food to satisfy my two cats (17 yrs and 2 yrs) and this is the first one that both of them ate readily. They passed right over their old food that I was trying to wean them off of, and ate all of this food the first day I put it out, so I knew it was a winner.
