Great Food for Liver-compromised dogs

My 17 month Labrador has no portal system and will be on this food for the rest of her life. she has been on this food since she was 12 weeks old.

I do not have the time to cook for her, and having a low protien dry food I can feed long term is essential - I mnentioned it's a little pricey, but considering that I need NO supplements with this food (Other than her regular meds), it is a good value.

The quality/performance is high enough that my dog is competing in AKC and UKC Rally contests, and training for Agility competition. She also got her UKC Conformation Championship while eating this food and nothing else (occasionally mix in a little canned l/d when she's having an off day and won't eat.

Great!

By keelytonkin

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet l/d Canine Hepatic Health Dry Food:

My Puggle (Pug x Beagle) was born with a liver shunt. We chose surgery and diet change, she loves the taste of it and when we swapped her she was almost instantly better instead of acting the usual sick. Highly recommend this product. She also loves the taste!

Helpful for dogs with health problems

By Dog Lover from Iowa

from Undisclosed

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet l/d Canine Hepatic Health Dry Food:

My dog loves the canned I/D but doesn't care for the dry version. The feeding guidelines recommend over 3 cans per day. I don't know how anyone could afford that since this food is outrageously expensive.

my dog loves this food! It has helped him put back on all the weight he'd lost. The canned version is also awesome! I use that one for treats now.

Our dog loves it

By Mavericks Mom

from Las Vegas

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet l/d Canine Hepatic Health Dry Food:

When Maverick was put on Prescription Diet I/d low fat for his digestive problems we worried he wouldn't like it. To the contrary he LOVES it. We've used both the kibble and the canned variety and he is quick to make "all gone" for every meal. Three years later he is now healthy and thriving.
