When I adopted my now 4 year old cat Charlie, he had unexplainable digestive problems that caused his going to the bathroom to be, well, messy. Unmanageably messy. I took him to the vet where the prescribed pills, supplements, did tests, and prescribed a small bag of Hill's prescription w/d cat food. They told me when everything was gone, to switch Charlie from the kitten food he has been eating to regular cat food. His condition improved.. until I changed his food.

I took him back to the vet, they repeated the same process, but this time we got a larger bag of food. When all of the pills and all of the medicine was gone, I continued him on the w/d food indefinitely. His condition never returned. I spent over $350 in vet bills just to find out Charlie needed this food.

I have never and will never feed Charlie any other food.

A year ago I adopted my cat Carlos and he was about a year old when I got him. He seamlessly started eating the same w/d food as Charlie. They are both happy and healthy cats!

(Also, I don't know if this is a testament to the w/d food or not but, both of my cats eat only their dry cat food. They do not crave wet food, the do not like people food, they do not beg!)

Product is great. My cat has not had issues since she has been on it. The package was the problem. a major portion of the pellets were ground up so there was lots of crumbled dust in the bag. i have to run it through a strainer to get off all the dust to feed my cat her portion.
this has never happened before. Fedex was delivery method.

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet w/d Feline Low Fat Glucose Management-Gastrointestinal Dry Cat Food:

This is the first canned cat food that my 12 year old cat has liked, which makes it so much easier to slip prescribed supplements into her diet! She's basically an indoor cat and not active, so she is prone to being overweight. The Hills W/D formula is easy for her to digest and helps keep her weight at an acceptable level. I feed her a small portion of this with a portion of Hills dry W/D food daily.

My 6 year old cat had a urinary tract and blockage 3 years ago and since giving him W/D he is fine. I have given it to a outside cat that lives on my porch (Her choice) for 4 years and didn't have other dry food and I tried this and she will not eat anything else. My Park Avenue stray.

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet w/d Feline Low Fat Glucose Management-Gastrointestinal Dry Cat Food:

Our cat Smokie, had pancreatitis and with yellow skin under his coat and near death. The Vet gave me two choices, in-patient treatment to stabilize his condition followed by a special diet of W/D or we could put him down. We chose to stabilize and teat with W/D; it worked. He recovered completely and remains healthy while on W/D, but his health noticeably suffers when he sneaks bites from our dog's bowl (think he'd learn). W/D worked for our our Cat's health.
