All PetFoodDirect.com orders are shipped in cardboard boxes and wrapped in bubble wrap or filler to ensure product integrity. All orders are 100% guaranteed (see guarantee).

Shipping Methods: Continental United States

All orders within the Continental United States are shipped via United Parcel Service ground (UPS) and the United States Post Office (USPS) with the exceptions noted in the next section below. Our average order ships in approximately 5 business days. From time to time we wait for the freshest product to arrive at our warehouse before shipping it to you. While this might delay shipping your order for a few days, we guarantee you the freshest product anywhere!

For your convenience, our delivery vendors will deliver your package to your door without requiring a signature - a nice benefit if you live in an apartment building or if you're not usually at home during delivery hours! (In the rare instances where UPS does not deliver without a signature, a note will be left on your door requesting permission to leave your package the next day.) Shipping of Frozen and Raw Foods:

We ship our Frozen and our Raw foods packed in dry ice on Monday through Wednesday. There is enough ice to ship from our location to you via UPS in two Days. When the food arrives it may be partially frozen to chilled. It is still safe to feed to your pet. You can put your food in the freezer in smaller packages if you wish. When your order arrives the dry ice may be almost if not completely evaporated.

Please ship to an address where someone will be available to accept the order. If this is not possible, please leave a note for the UPS delivery person on the scheduled day of delivery with instructions on where to leave it (that is not in the hot sun). We can only guarantee the food will stay cold for 2 days from shipment, so if it cannot be delivered or if it sits for an extended period in hot weather, the food may begin to warm.

Please understand that we cannot accept returns of Raw or Frozen food.

We are only able to ship Frozen and Raw Foods to the Continental United States.

Shipping Charges: UPS

ONLINE SHIPPING COSTS: Jupiter Media Metrix reports that 63 percent of online shoppers say shipping and handling costs have kept them from making an e-commerce purchase. We realize that we are not for everyone, but in today’s two-income time stretched families…the convenience of home delivery, simply saves you time!

Question #2:
Do you charge shipping costs by the total amount of money I spend, or by the weight of my order?

Answer:
Unlike most direct retailers, whether on the web or in a catalog, our shipping and handling prices are based upon the total weight of your shipment and the distance your order will ship. We charge you just the way United Parcel Service charges us. Each and every shipment is carefully weighed on our UPS approved scale.

Question #3:
Is it cheaper for me to go to the store and pick it up myself?

Answer:
In some cases it might be, depending on the proximity of your local retailer. But in the interest of your time, we suggest you call first since most retailers do not carry as many brands as we do.

Question #4:
Am I missing out on any special deals that may be offered in the brick and mortar store?

Answer:
Absolutely not! In fact, because of our ability to notify you immediately of our special offers via email, by shopping at PetFoodDirect, you are probably getting more special deals than you would at a retail store.

...how often do I go to the pet supply store to see if there are any deals?
...do they have a “Discount Department” where they feature closeouts and clearances?

Shipping rates will vary depending on your order weight and delivery destination. The EASIEST way to see your shipping cost is to enter the delivery destination zip code into the shopping cart, where it will automatically be calculated and appear on the screen. This way you will be able to view your shipping charge before you checkout.

SPECIAL NOTE: If you live in a rural area, UPS will add an additional charge for your delivery. This charge is not included in the rates examples below.
