I used to be a dog food snob and would turn my nose up at anything less than the super premium brands out there. Looking back, none of these foods ever worked that well for my dogs. I always was supplementing with prozyme, coconut oil, fish oil, probiotics, prebiotics, etc...... I ended up on this food after a digestive upset with one of my dogs and her stool wasn't firming up on anything else besides I/D. My vet recommended this food after I finished the bag of I/D. I have been feeding the Sensitive Stomach/Skin formula for 15 months with exceptional results. A month ago I slowly transitioned my 6 year old female onto the food and in that timeframe her itchiness and skin issues have completely resolved. I am not supplementing the food with anything and my dogs look better than ever and their stools are good. The best thing about any Hill's product is the consistency between bags. There is something to be said for dog foods companies that put the time and resources into feeding trials. I wish that Hill's would publicize this information more to the public.

This pet food was recommended after my one of my dogs appeared to have a sensitive stomach. She never seemed to be crazy about it, but would eventually eat it. After purchasing the 3rd bag, she got to the point of barely eating it to not eating at all. She will let it sit in her bowl for over a day and to get her to eat start eating, I have to start hand feeding her and this never happned until we switched foods. My other dog doesn't seem to care for it either. I do think it is a good product, but there seems to be something about it that dogs do not particularly care for.

Bad New Formula

Comments about Hill's Science Diet Hills Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach and Skin Chicken and Barley Dry Dog Food:

My dog used to love this food really helped with his sensitive stomach, but now he can't stop itching with the formula. Sensitive stomach and sensitive skin are NOT the same thing. Should be kept separate, I can no longer buy this food which is a shame because it used to be great.

I was recommended this for my dog. It is true that it is for sensitive stomachs! My dog loves it and his skin isn't as dry as it use to be! I highly recommend this! Now that I have two more dogs, they will be eating this also!

Comments about Hill's Science Diet Hills Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach and Skin Chicken and Barley Dry Dog Food:

We went through 7 types of dog food for our Labradoodle, She is now a 1 year old. She had loss/diarrhea stools, throw up on a daily bases. Our vet said to put her on meds to help with her stomach but she got to the point were she stopped eating for days :(. We called the Vet again and they said to do the sensitive stomach science diet. I almost cried bc she ate right away and never has had a problem since! I will never go back to any other food again!

Dramatic results!

Comments about Hill's Science Diet Hills Science Diet Adult Sensitive Stomach and Skin Chicken and Barley Dry Dog Food:

My Labrador was having issues with a very expensive, well rated dog food brand. After a while, she just refused to eat. The vet put her on Science Diet i/d and that helped a lot, so I decided to try Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin. What a dramatic improvement. She looks forward to meal time again, and has more energy and clearly feels better. I changed over my other 2 dogs (Lab mix & Westie) so all 3 are eating Science Diet and doing great. If you have a pet who is suffering with digestive or skin problems, I wholeheartedly recommend it. For all the highly rated dog food brands I've tried, nothing comes close to the visible difference this one made!
