Our 11/2 year old cat was having stomach issues. Not fun. Every morning we'd wake to a nasty hairball that was thrown up (and a bad litter box). I was afraid he had some virus and was ready to take him to the vet the following day. By chance I passed the Hairball treats (which states to use in conjunction with the food) so I bought a bag of Hairball Care as well. We were desperate to get the issues under control. Within 2 days he was back to complete normal! It's been 2 weeks now and we have had only one additional hairball and it was a "normal" one. (I should mention that he is long-haired.) On a side note: he is CRAZY for the food. If his bowl is empty, he knocks it down the stairs and follows you around the house, batting at your legs, until you give him more. I have never seen him eat food so fast and so enthusiastically. Definitely a win-win for all of us!

My cat has done well in IAMS Adult. Last time I bought Hairball Care. She would pull it from the bowl and scatter it on the floor. She even carried some into the family room and dropped it at my feet. I went back to Adult only. All is well. If you try Hairball Care, buy the smallest bag possible for a test. Money doesn't grow on trees, afterall.

Comments about Iams ProActive Health Adult Hairball Care Formula Dry Cat Food:

I love the IAMS brand but I noticed when I used the cat food with salmon instead of chicken my cat stopped having dandruff. Now I can't find the IAMS with salmon. Have they stopped making it? I have moved and can't find it anywhere. HELP!

Comments about Iams ProActive Health Adult Hairball Care Formula Dry Cat Food:

I've used the Purina One for hairballs, and I must say, Iams is superior. I have 2 long haired cats, and constantly having hair ball issues. Iams has helped reduce the problem significantly. thank you
