Rehydrate the mix and add it to cooked or raw meat. Sam is a 7 or 8 year-old lab|golden mix who was rescued a year ago with heartworms, a fractured pelvis, and weighing 60 pounds - 40 pounds underweight. His spirit was broken and he was in pitiful condition.

I took him in and began cooking all of his meals and add the Preference to a variety of cooked or raw meats.

The change in him has been remarkable - he is now 100 pounds and is an awesome and happy dog!

Mixing the product was a little bit of a nuisance but was doable. I love the nutritional value of this product and I thought my dogs would simply love it because of that. They hate it and will only eat it if they are allowed to get extremely hungry. Perhaps this is the same issue humans have with giving up junk food and learning to like what is actually good for them!

Anyway, I am now trying to use up the product by sprinkling it on their normal dog food. I will probably not order more.

Comments about The Honest Kitchen Preference Dog Food:

I feed the Honest Kitchen series to my dog for almost 7 years. My dog loves this Zeal and others, Force and Embark, very fresh and nutritious and easy to prepare. We love them all. They are made by the limited number of ingredients and considered dog health first . My 7 year BT is lean, beautiful, has a gorgeous coat. We has been very happy with this foods

My dog absolutely loves this product. He is a very slow eater, but not with this food. He can't get enough and always to back to his bowl and continues to lick and clean it out even though there is nothing left!

Comments about The Honest Kitchen Preference Dog Food:

My 15 year old golden already eats kindly with meat and fish so I thought this would make my life easier, but my dog ate around it and got sick afterwards after the first try. He always eats everything in his bowl and has not been sick for years so this is very strange.

We went back to meat and kindly but now he will not even eat the kindly mix anymore. Not even after I added peanut butter and goat milk to it.

I guess I will have to go back to cooking him the vegetable and yam portion of his meals again.

Comments about The Honest Kitchen Preference Dog Food:

I use this to add bulk to a raw diet. She is a fairly picky eater. She would prefer to eat protein only. She seems to like the consistency of this product more than others I've tried.
