This product is fantastic, so much so it's embarrassing how often I tell my friends about this stuff.

This product smells good (like tea, no surprise), the surprising thing is that when my cat pees in it it releases a tea smell. Nice perk.

It clumps very well, both around urine and feces.

Decomposes. We live on a farm and dump the litter on the corner of the property. The old clay litter stares back at me like an unforgiving tree hugger, the green tea litter breakdown.

The only real con is that one of my larger cats likes to stand outside of the litter box when he covers his business and launches clean litter about a foot outside of the box, and alot of it. He always did this but with clay litter it was much heavier and would stay in the box, these pellets are so light they go flying. That said, they are very easy to sweep up and put back in the box unlike the clay litters.

Virtually no dust.

Lasted an unusually long time for litter.

This litter is similar to pelleted paper or pine, although it is lighter in weight. It does not dissolve well after the cats use it, and scooping it wastes some of the unaffected pellets. For some reason, my 3 cats will only use it for urine; they use other litter types for stool. It does keep odors down and doesn't track, but the cats prefer scoopable clay litter. It was worth a try....

Comments about Next Gen Pets Green Tea Leaves Cat Litter:

I've tried all different brands and kinds of cat litter. This is by far the best cat litter- a bit expensive but worth it! Used for multiple cats. No odor, easy to clean, no perfume or anything artificial. I have 3 litter boxes and when guests pop in, no one believes I have 3 boxes or animals in my home.

Absolutely dislike it. I am used to good clumps and they fall apart. Pieces are too big to sift.

Comments about Next Gen Pets Green Tea Leaves Cat Litter:

I really like this product a lot. It is low odor, absorbs well, the cats like it, and I feel good about using the soiled litter on trees and shrubs in my garden, rather than throwing it in the garbage. It is a slightly messy, (little bits get tracked out of the box), but sweeps up easily. I am sorry no pet stores in my area carry it, as I have zero storage in my tiny house, and shipping cost for small quantities makes it less economical for me.

Comments about Next Gen Pets Green Tea Leaves Cat Litter:

I've been using this litter for a couple of years and was disappointed that our local pet supply stopped carrying it. Glad to have found it online at reasonable pricing. We use this litter with a compostable litter box liner inside our plastic litter box. I scoop it daily into a compost bucket and empty that as needed on our compost pile. What remains in the litter box tends to last a good month, with occasional topping off. We change out the compostable liner once a month and start with fresh litter. One bag of litter, last for 2-3 months! The smell is fresh and clean, not cloying.

Comments about Next Gen Pets Green Tea Leaves Cat Litter:

I love this product. We're on a septic system and I don't flush litter. Unlike clay litter, when I change the box I can just dump it in a flower bed for mulch knowing the tea leaves will just break down over time, so I'm not wasting landfill space throwing it away. I hate the strong perfume smell of many cat litters. This doesn't have that but it controls odor well. Just a nice, natural product that I can feel good about using and that does a good job.
