Lately I've seen a lot of commercials and marketing from dog food companies and attention from consumers being paid the the quality of dog foods and the ingredients that go into them. I agree with this new trend! I love my dog, and I want to keep her healthy and active for as long as possible. Disclaimer- My dog does not generally eat wet food. She is usually a kibble only type of girl, so introducing this food into her diet was a special treat for her. Process: Added about 1/5 of the can to each of her meals, mixed with a little bit of water and 1.5 cups of dry kibble for each meal. Transition: She has been eating this for about 1 week and I have not noticed any digestive issues. Transitioning (albeit introducing it gradually with her normal food) to this food has been easy! Dog approved: She loves it! Though, she generally gets dry kibble, so this is has been a treat for her. A particularly amusing story- on the second day of introducing this into her diet I noticed that she finished her bowl wandered back into our bedroom to check on us and ran back out to her bowl to lick the bottom. Quality: I would judge the quality of this food as mid-range. It has that typical "spam"/magic-meat smell that all canned pet food tends to have. The top ingredient in this is fish, followed by whole potatoes, water, dried potatoes, and potato protein. Though this is indeed grain free thee is also a lot of cheap protein(potato protein and brewers yeast) and carbohydrates. In summary: I enjoyed treating my girl with this dog food and it was clear that she enjoyed it. I do not think that I would permanently introduce this into her diet at this point- dry food works fine for her and do not find it necessary to spend money on canned-wet food when my dog is able and willing to eat kibble! However in a few years (she is currently ~11-years-old) she may require a softer daily meal. - at that point I would definitely consider adding Nutro Limited Ingredient canned food to her daily diet.

I was really excited about trying this dog food!! It's got great ingredients especially for sensitive diets. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan and neither were my dogs!!! Knowing that it was a good they were unfamiliar with, I knew there may be some challenges. One of my dogs eventually ate it after about 30 minutes and my other dog didn't attempt to eat. Sorry, but I don't think I'll be purchasing.

Excellent Canned Food

Comments about Nutro Natural Choice Grain Free Natural Fish and Potato Adult Formula Canned Dog Food:

I think this canned dog food was one of the best in terms of the "human experience" -- it did not have that typical 'nasty canned-food smell' for one, and it's appearance out of the can was appropriate for the product--it didn't look like dog food trying to look like people food. My 8-year old German Shepherd seemed to really like this canned food because she went at it, licking the bowl completely clean. I did not notice any signs to indicate this food bothered her stomach.

Comments about Nutro Natural Choice Grain Free Natural Fish and Potato Adult Formula Canned Dog Food:

I was skeptical about trying this with my dogs because of the fish. So i opened up a can and spilt it between both of my dogs. Zeus and Bella went absolutely nuts over it they ate all of it. I love the fact that it has limited ingredients and it's all natural.

I wasn't sure, but....

Comments about Nutro Natural Choice Grain Free Natural Fish and Potato Adult Formula Canned Dog Food:

I really wasn't sure if my sporting beagle dog, Scooter, would even like this because of the fish plus he usually gets dry dog food. I just recently opened a can for him, gave him half under his regular dog food. He buried his nose in his food and ate all the NUTRO dog food first, somehow. When he was done with all, licked his bowl clean and looked at me with a happy face and tail!! I recommend this dog food based on my experience.
