I have 3 cats that developed intestinal issues, and we're also affected by urinary stones. After several very expensive vet trips, procedures, and overnight vet visits it was recommended by my vet that they go on this food. It may say gastrointestinal, but it has the same ingredients needed to prevent urinary stones. In the 3 years they have been on this food, not one of my 3 boys has had a vet visit for anything other than normal checkups. The food is a little expensive, but has saved me a ton in vet bills! I also have 3 very happy, healthy kitties that love their food. They are all over 10 years old, but still have the energy of kittens. I look forward to many more years of fun!

My cat had been on another Royal Canin food for his urinary tract, and after about a year of that he started throwing up almost daily. Since we still have to keep an eye on his urinary tract this food is appropriate for both of his problems. He only throws up about once a week, which I still think is a lot. His feces is larger than I have ever seen come from a cat and I do not love the main ingredients of this food, especially for the price. I am sticking with it because of the recent developments in my cats heath but I would much rather feed him a more natural cat food.

Disabled Cat Pooping Like Normal!

By Sami12

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Gastrointestinal Fiber Response HF Dry Cat Food:

I have a disabled 8 year old cat that doesn't walk, she scoots to get around. She is happy as can be except her ongoing constipation issues. She sits on her rump all day and stool gets very hard and difficult to pass due to the physical abnormality. I decided to try this food instead of adding stool softening medications and risking diarrhea by overcompensating. Within days she started producing large stools regularly with ease. No more straining or tiny hard poo. She seems happier for it, and loves the taste of the food. In fact, the other cats try and eat it too. I am highly satisfied and will continue to use the product!

Immediant Results

By Cristine

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Gastrointestinal Fiber Response HF Dry Cat Food:

My three year old Russian Blue, Milo had the runs every time he pooped for a few days. After taking him to the vet and having a fecal test come back negetive; I decided to change his diet to one for a sensitive system. My vet suggested the Fiber Response. It is rather expensive, but my Milo is worth it. One the first day he had diarrhea mixed with formed stool, and by the second day he had a big poop with formed stool! I am very happy with the fast results and I am going to use this product for a time when I wean him onto a sensitive diet by Royal Canine. The corn meal and corn gluten is what acts as thd fiber to stop kitty's from pooping. When kitty starts to feel better, give her a sensitive can of wet cat food for meat.

Works Wonders!!

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Gastrointestinal Fiber Response HF Dry Cat Food:

Our cat suffers from chronic constipation, and after two enemas, a hospital stay, and fighting her every night to get her to take her laxative our vet recommended Royal Canin Fiber Response. It has been a life saver for us! She is SUPER picky with her food, so we were nervous she wouldn't even attempt to try this food. We offered her a piece from the bag and she immediately lit up and began begging for more! She now has normal bowel movements every day, and has so much more energy. Occasionally her bowel movements are quite large, but it doesn't seem to bother her. The only real critique I have for this food is that the main ingredients could stand to be a little healthier for the price. As far as the price goes.. if your cat suffers like mine, PLEASE ask your vet about this diet. Trust me, it's a small price to pay for your kitty's well being, and the vet bills that can add up quickly! * For our cat, one 8.8 pound bag usually lasts us about 12 weeks, maybe a couple days short of that. *

Excellent Product

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Gastrointestinal Fiber Response HF Dry Cat Food:

I've had my cat on the Fiber Response for several years. She was having bowel issues & even following surgery she continued to have problems. It was very upsetting. My Vet put her on this and thank God we have not had any problems since. The Fiber in her diet makes a big difference. I am so thankful.
