My cat Cesar had 2 asthma attacks in 3 years from clay litter. He had NEVER had asthma in the 10 years I had him. The first time was frightening and the vet was not helpful. My cat didn't HAVE asthma, he had an attack. Even I would sneeze when I changed & cleaned & scooped the litter boxes. So I removed the litter box lid. 2 years later Cesar had another attack, not as severe but I immediately dumped the clay litter and thankfully this new litter was just out and I had heard of it. I have tried World's Best Cat Litter but my cats (Cesar & his mom, Cleo) had issues with it making their feet break out), THAT litter was great, but I couldn't use it. So this new litter has very little airborne dust, it is a natural product and Cesar accepted it immediately. My new little ones are fine with it as well. It clumps beautifully. Frankly, I don't know any litter that stops odor without masking it with perfume, or any litter that doesn't do some tracking. I scoop immediately if there is an odor and my home does not have a litter box odor-ever. Keep them scooped daily and at least twice a day with more than 1 cat and you don't have any odor. Realistically, you want something NATURAL and not potentially harmful to the cats, the owners or the environment. I believe, this litter is the answer.

I have three cats and have used Blue Buffalo walnut-based cat litter for about two years. I like the idea of a natural product like crushed walnut shells and the cats seem to have no problem with it. However, the contents of the most recent bags have been much coarser 'grind' so it doesn't clump as well. The loose litter won't flow through the scoop without shaking it which breaks up the clumps. In my own opinion Blue Buffalo has cheapened the product by grinding it less. They're trading on their name now and I'm not buying it.

Comments about Blue Buffalo Blue Naturally Fresh Quick Clumping Cat Litter:

I just cancelled my auto ship of this litter. I've tried both the red and green bags and have used them for the past couple of years b/c I wanted to get a way from clay litters. (I used Arm and Hammer for a long time right after giving up clay litters, but now that it's full of a strong chemical scent, I don't like it either.) Blue just does not consistently work for a many multiple cat household. And I've finally reached the end of my rope spending ridiculous amounts of time trying to scoop wet litter that makes it difficult to shake out the good litter without completely breaking up the loose, very wet clumps. I can end up spending up to 15 minutes per litterbox just trying to scoop out all the wet litter, and w/ multiple litterboxes, that time adds up fast, making morning scooping before work really time-consuming. I think I've given the Blue way beyond a fair trial, and I'm done w/ it. It also tracks a LOT.

I think I'd go back to clay clumping litter before I'd go back to the Blue again, despite the fact that the clay is not environmentally friendly or good for the cats, I'm so annoyed by this point w/ the Blue. Maybe, however, it works just fine for single-cat or multiple-cat households that are few in number.

I've read the reviews of the other litters here, and although I just received an order of the Blue this week, I'm going to try out the World's Best Litter for a while and see how that goes. It will come next week and I can gradually mix it w/ the Blue to get my cats used to it for the next several weeks before going to the Worlds Best alone. Fingers crossed.

Comments about Blue Buffalo Blue Naturally Fresh Quick Clumping Cat Litter:

As a long-time pet owner, I have three indoor cats and have experience with all types of cat litter. I wanted to try this litter and I am so glad I did. It is easy to carry--not like the others where you almost have to have a forklift to get it into the house, but this litter is easy to spread and literally has no dust. With the other litters, I would continue to cough because I have allergies and the dust would continue to collect from the litter. This litter is healthy for me and the cats. I will be buying another bag this weekend and this time, will try the Multi-cat. Your products are great.
