I work at a veterinary clinic and when this diet came out I was so enthusiastic to try it! My cat who was a year old at the time had some behavior problems and I was willing to try almost anything to help cope with him. This was back in 2010 and I never took him off it because I was worried that it may or may not be helping. Finally, 2016, I decided to take him off it to see if I noticed a difference. Unfortunately, he has been off the Calm food for 4 months now and I will most definitely say that for him it wasn't very beneficial. He is exactly the same as hes always been and now 5 years later I'd rather not keep him on a food that is more expensive for no reason. That being said, I haven't heard any news on other cats who consume this product, and from what I understand it can be very helpful for cats with urinating outside the litter box as well as anxiety. It's really a shame too because I was so excited when this product initially came out. Also, the fact that he was on this diet for so long leads me to believe that whatever help it should have accomplished was a failure for my cat.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Calm Formula Dry Cat Food:

Our cats really like this food. The bites are small enough that it is easy for them to eat - especially for our older cat (21 years) . It also seems to help keep them "calm". [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Notable difference for patient.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Calm Formula Dry Cat Food:

I started my cat on this diet for stress related to increased cat traffic outside our house that had led to him urinating under the windows indoors. I had tried calming supplements but he would not eat them consistently. This diet is very palatable and eliminated the stress reduced behaviors. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
