My vet prescribed this for my 12 year old shih Tzu. Toby had developed severe allergies and had extreme itchiness. He just could not stop scratching. After 6 months on this food his skin and health are perfect. We took him to four different vets who treated him with Atopica. It did not help at all, just cost a lot of money and Toby remained sick. Finally found a new vet who approached from a different angle. Toby had infected ears, eyes and yeast infection. Our new vet literally saved his live with prescription food,

I purchased the canned product to wrap around the pill that I need to give to my dog. I don't need that much to do that, so I've separated it into 3rds and freeze the 2 sections. I learned to do this when the 1st can I used developed mold and I couldn't use it any longer. I've found that it does break down in the freezer and it effects it's consistency.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Hydrolyzed Protein Canned Dog Food:

My veterinarian recommended Royal Canine's Hydrolyzed Protein dog food. We observed an immediate improvement. We are extremely impressed with this product, however the cost of this product is outrageous. We can not afford to pay the extravagant price.

Amazing.....saved my dogs life!!!

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Hydrolyzed Protein Canned Dog Food:

My dog Momo is an under 4lb chihuahua and almost died from pancreatitis. She could no longer thke in the protein of the food she was eating and it nearly killed her. The vet after some emergency treatment put her on this food because it has already started the digestive process and made it so her body could obsorb it. Though it is expensive and she will have to be on it for life it is totally worth it when you see her back to here normal bubbly self again. This food has saved here life and I am very greatful to royal canin for coming up with this formula for dogs like mine that would otherwise be lost. So again Thank you Royal Canin! *she also eats the small breed hard food of this but the canned is her main diet as she has bad teeth.

Saved my dog's life! And he loves the taste!

By Tobysma

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Hydrolyzed Protein Canned Dog Food:

Our dear 8 year old standard poodle has a very pesky immune system and about 4 months ago he developed colitis secondary to a medication he was on for a blood disorder. He had extreme diarrhea and lost 14 lbs in 2 months. We were expecting that we would lose him, which broke our hearts. Enter Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein dry and canned. As we transitioned him over (from another vet Rx food) the frequency of stools dropped markedly (now 2-3 a day), then they became firmer. And dear Toby started to put on weight (thank heaven!) He LOVES the stuff and we use the dry as treats for him (and our other 2 dogs like it, too). I truly believe that our fantastic vet and Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein food has saved his life. We can't thank you enough!
