My chubby girl Macie recently started with Hill's Metabolic food per her vet's request. She is doing great with this. She lost 3 three pounds in 5 weeks which I think is great! She still has a few more pounds to lose and I feel confident the food will help her do so. Thanks to everyone at Pet360 for making purchasing her food simple. We're on the auto ship plan and it's great to know Macie's cupboard will always be stocked. Licks and Sniffs, Jan Todd Greenville SC

My dachshund is obese and her VET prescribed this diet. At first she ate it, then left it in the bowl begging for something else. I tried mixing in canned green beans, but she started refusing that too. The food sours within a short time, I would throw it out after two hours or so. Since the food is about 3 dollars per can, the cost combined with the waste made the food just too expensive. We are trying some other diet alternatives.

Our dog loves the flavor

By Payne764

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet Canine Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution Canned Food:

Our 6 year old dachshund had to have back surgery. She was placed on steroids which caused to gain weight. Our veterinarian recommended this brand of food. He called Hill's and they calculated that Millie could have a can of food a day. Since January she has lost 3 and a half pounds. She is doing great and loves the food

My dog loves the food but doesn't loose weight

By Neuza

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet Canine Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution Canned Food:

My 4 year's shih tzu is 2 pounds overweight . She has been on metabolic diet for 4 months, she loves the food but didn't loose any weight so far. I am getting really frustrated about it. As for exercise, I take her for a walk everyday and for treats i give her one metabolic biscuit a day or a piece of apple and her food is measured every time. I am very disappointed after reading all the reviews where people say their dog lost weight in the first 2 months. what they do differently?

Stays regular and likes the taste

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet Canine Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution Canned Food:

Our dog has been on this food for about 9 years. She is 12 now. We had a hard time trying to find something she liked and then this was prescribed to help with her weight. She is a dachshund and weight maintenance is important. It also keeps her very regular. I would recommend this to any dog owner. We mix it with the same dry dog food product.

Continued Weight Loss

By Trixi

from NH, United States

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet Canine Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution Canned Food:

We have an older Border Collie mix who needed to lose some extra pounds in order to play the way she's used to. Our vet suggested Hills, and of course took her advice. Immediately, we saw results. And...our dog has taken to it really well. We give a mix of dry and wet. I think mixing with dry helps her to feel more full. Also, rather than buy separate treats, we use a small handful of her planned dry food as treats. That way she's not getting any additional calories. It works. Once in a while we'll give her the vegetable beef stew. When she realizes what she's eating, she looks up at me as if to say "Wow...this is good". As long as we follow the vets advice with the Hills, we continue to see weight loss and our fur baby is healthy and active as ever. Thanks.
