I have a parti-colored white cocker spaniel with fawn spots. He's been tested for allergies and is now allergic to pea protein which is in alot of quality grain free diets now on the market. This breaks my heart because he loved his prior food. But he sure seems to like the Royal Canin Hypo PV Venison and Potato Diet. It smells alot like the Royal Canin Cocker Spaniel Diet that contains chicken which he is allergic to. He just dove right in with no sniffing. Even the cat wants to eat it. And the other dogs keep trying to break into the bag. I have 5 cockers in all. But not all of them have allergies. Just the two parti colored ones.

This was prescribed for our Shelties because they seem to have issues with skin irritation. While I suppose it helps, I do not like using this dog food. It is super expensive in comparison with other dog foods, and in general I think having to have a prescription for dog food is ridiculous… it doesn't contain drugs, so why is this necessary?

This food has been amazing for my pugs with food allergies. They were itchy and kept getting ear infections and skin infections. My dogs love the flavor, and I love that the food contains the omega-3 fatty acids

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hypoallergenic Selected Protein Adult PV Dry Dog Food:

Our just bought puppy was having a terrible time with food. Throwing up loose frequent bowel movements and itchy skin. We had him tested and it turns out that he is allergic to almost everything. Started him on this food and watched him flourish.

Amazed by this food!!!

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hypoallergenic Selected Protein Adult PV Dry Dog Food:

My black lab use to have chronic yeast infections in her ears. I tried Hills' products ZD and their potato and duck formula because that is what we sell at out clinic, and it was not good on her digestive system. The ZD made her have runny stool while the potato and duck made her constipated all the time. Her whole life she has been on Iams so I decided to try their veterinary diet kangaroo and oats. I did notice a difference on how often I had to clean her ears and put medicine in them but it still did not satisfy me or her. I decided not to give up on finding the perfect diet. She was so tired of me putting medicine in her ears and cleaning them out all the time. I decided to give Royal Canin PV a try, and let me tell you I'm so glad I did. After the first few weeks of being on this food I have not one time had to put any medicine in her ears. After a few weeks when I cleaned her ears out there was nothing but just a little dirt in them. I was extremely happy. She does not shake her head or scratch at her ears anymore. I recommend this to any one who has a dog with chronic ear infections.

Poodle with an appetite!!

By BeeBee

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hypoallergenic Selected Protein Adult PV Dry Dog Food:

This food (along with the canned version) was prescribed by our veterinary nutritionists. Our miniature poodle Bernie had to go on a strict diet due to numerous allergies and colon problems. Bernie would never consistently eat ANY commercial dog food he was offered for the past 9 years. So, of course we were sure he would not eat this consistently--if at all--when we offered it to him. Well, just over a year later, Bernie is still loving his Royal Canine PV!! Also, we had contacted customer support with questions about the product, as well as other products, and the representatives were so knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and caring. We recommend Royal Canin brand products to everyone!

My dog is allergic to EVERYTHING (or at least it feels like it). Her dermatologist wanted to switch her to this food and she has had less allergic reactions. She loves the food, and I am completely satisfied.
