My dog was diagnosed with ear mites, yeast infections, given washes and antibiotics for years before I finally had it and took her to a specialist for allergies. Who knew! She is allergic to grains in the food. She had a dark brown/black nasty smelling fluid in her ears and shook her head all the time. Blew a vein and had to have surgery for that in her ear too. After two very expensive vet trips, this dog food made all her problems go away. It is expensive but if you love your dog, it is worth it. Mine is a black AKC Lab.

My little terrier has terrible stomach issues and is extremely finicky about food. This Royal Canin rabbit formula solved both problems for about 3 years, but recently, the food has changed dramatically. It used to be dark, almost black, quite oily, and have a rich odor. By contrast, the past 3 bags have contained dry, light brown kibbles, the good odor is gone, and my dog just will not eat it. We have to doctor his food with gravy and crumbled biscuits to get him to eat it. (If he doesn't eat, he gets very sick.)

This is really sad, because it was so hard to find a food for him. I called Royal Canin and they said they are having a hard time getting consistently good rabbit meat and that the problem is not likely to be resolved any time soon. Very frustrating.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hypoallergenic Selected Protein Adult PR Dry Dog Food:

Gabriel's vet prescribed Royal Canin adult PR because he was having IBS problems. Well, problems no more. Gabey loves the food and he does very well on it. Just wish they made some treats or biscuits to go with it. Gabriel is a Tibetan Terrier. 14 months old.

Good so far

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hypoallergenic Selected Protein Adult PR Dry Dog Food:

Our dog suffers from IBD and ulcerative colitis. He has done well on this food for several months, although he is also on medication so hard to tell what's the biggest help. Could be the two combined. Our dog loves the food, eats with a lot of enthusiasm, although the food does seem greasy to us. Would recommend trying.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hypoallergenic Selected Protein Adult PR Dry Dog Food:

Ru has been on this food for three years. She has severe food intolerances and food allergies. This is the only food she can tolerate. Without this food I do not know what her outcome would have been.

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hypoallergenic Selected Protein Adult PR Dry Dog Food:

We've been feeding the pugs this dry food at the recommendation of our vet. They love it and their health has improved dramatically. Won't even consider feeding them anything but Royal Canin. Happy pugs, happy owners.
