I have show dogs and have many years dog experience. For an older dog with episodes of GI upset, my vet suggested I try this product when problems appear. Had been using Science Diet ID (I generally hate Hill's products but that one works). I am able to give the ID without weaning her into it, with no diarrhea or other signs. On 2 different times I tried this RC product and she did have looser stools both times. She ate it with interest, but not with gusto. An RC product I DO recommend is Mother and Babydog, which I could not find on your list of 234 items. I would have given that 5 stars.

Vet provided me with some of this when my 14 y/o dog was suffering from hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. Not only does she go crazy for it (I mix it with her dry food), she has more energy than I've seen in over a year.

Vital to recovery

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Intestinal High Energy HE Canned Dog Food:

Our Gizmo ate a mouse recently. The small bones became lodged in his stomach lining, wreaking havoc. The stress of X-rays and ultrasounds, added to the pain and discomfort was enough for any dog to stop eating, but Gizmo would eat the Royal Canin GI! It was a lifesaver.

got it for my female JR

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Intestinal High Energy HE Canned Dog Food:

I buy this for my female JR as she has stomach trouble. This food has help her stay alive as it is easy for her to digest, eat, and keeps weight on her. Only thing I do not like about this is the smell of her food LOL. I also buy the adult low fat for my other JR. But they are my family and will do what I have to!!!!!
