My two Maine Coons have been on Hill's c/d Multicare for over 7 years. We started with the dry. As they got older and couldn't handle dry food anymore, our Vet switched them to wet food. For many years, they ate the large can of Chicken. Just this summer, they weren't eating. They started picking at their food. I started to see weight loss. Concerned, I spoke with my Vet. I tried the Chicken & Vegetable Stew. What a difference! They actually finish their breakfast and dinner. And, they ask for more. The only problem is it is beyond expensive to feed them now. You are charging the same price for these little cans as the big cans. I don't understand. I go thru more than one case per week for two large cats. As a pet owner, I feel as if I'm backed against a wall here. I want healthy elderly cats yet the new food is so very over priced. Please ... please make this particular food in the larger can. I even tried mixing a can of the stew with a can of the regular chicken. No go! They're smart. Please ... larger can!

I have 4 cats... ages 2,5,8,11. My 8 year old developed an UTI with blockage. The vets office told me that I needed to feed him Hill Prescripton c/d or else it would happen to him again. Unfortunately he will not touch the stuff nor the other Prescription brand either. The bad thing is the 2 year old who eats ANYTHING will not touch it either. I am concerned about my pet because I can NOT afford another trip back to the vet. I have resorted to a non prescription brand for urinary health that they will all eat. Praying that is good enough!

Too many big chunks!

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Feline Urinary Care Chicken & Vegetable Stew Canned Cat Food:

My cat MUST eat Hill's prescription diet foods because of a problem with his bladder. The food comes with too many big chunks in it, and I must chop it up before I can give it to him, or he will eat only the small pieces and lap up the "juice." Why can't the food be chopped finer at the factory?? (Since I don't eat the food myself, I can't "rate" it otherwise. Thank you.

This food is top quality food. My cat loves this food although she is not a finicky eater. If your vet recommends it, I would not hesitate using this food.

I was worried my cat would not like it. He likes this and the dry as well. It is all he eats and has kept him from having urinary issues again.

Looks like you made it yourself

By Mary2047

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Feline Urinary Care Chicken & Vegetable Stew Canned Cat Food:

My younger cat wasn't eating the regular CD canned food that well. I know that the wet food is better for him for the moisture factor. I also use the dry food because my older cat only eats dry and I don't want a non prescription dry food in the dish where by younger cat who has a crystal problem can get to it. My vet suggested the chicken and vegetable stew and he loves it! As soon as I open the cabinet door, he comes running and has his nose right there while I'm opening the can. Just wish it was a little less expensive.
