If this product expensive? Yes....but you get what you pay for. Knowing you can feed this product and not have to worry about your cat developing more urinary tract issues is: PRICELESS! I spent $1700 in vet bills before I found this product. There are others that claim to be sensitive to the needs of cats with urinary tract issues but don't do any better at preventing problems that any other ordinary food. This product actually does what it promises, no ifs ands or buts! Terrific product and my picky eater car loves it!

The only good thing I can say about this food is that my cat hasn't gotten bladder stones again since he's been eating it. He needed two surgeries in 2010 to get rid of the oxalate stones. Nothing will dissolve these stones, so they need to be prevented at all costs. I know this food is garbage because his coat is dull, he has dandruff, and he pukes up the food regularly. However, the stones are life-threatening and as long as they don't come back, I'll keep buying this expensive garbage food. I would only recommend this as a last resort if you cat has recurring oxalate stones. Otherwise, it is garbage and I truly feel bad that I have to feed it to my cat.

Excellent!!

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Urinary SO Dry Cat Food:

We switched our now 9 year old cat over to this a few years ago on the recommendation of our vet after he had a bladder infection. He took to it quickly and has done extremely well with it. Our other two cats enjoy it as well and all three have cut down on the amount and frequency of vomiting hairballs as well. I can't claim the food is the difference, but it's the only thing that's changed for them. I've had cats my entire life and always fed them and trusted a specific brand of traditional dry cat food. With all the problems in the news about pet foods, I don't have that same faith in those brands anymore and am glad we changed them Iver to a brand I feel more confident will be healthy for the very special four legged members of our family.

Royal Canin does more research to ensure the product does what its supposed to do and the animals like to eat it, than any other pet food company that I know of.

Long-time user, the cats love it, and our male is clearly benefiting from the formula, both wet and dry versions. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Works like a charm!

Comments about Royal Canin Veterinary Diets Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Urinary SO Dry Cat Food:

This was prescribed for my male cat after his surgery (so now he's a female). It is fabulous. He loves it and so does my older female who was having urinary problems. She eats it up and she is also doing great. Now, the inside/outside cats have gotten a taste and it's hard to keep everyone else out so the inside cats I can eat. I'm not sure what I would have done had the vet not prescribed this food. My "boy" is healthy, happy, and full of energy! Just wish the price was more affordable now that I have 2 cats ( and the sneaky cats) eating it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have used this for years and it has kept my cats that I feed it to very healthy. Unfortunately with the amount of cats I have, I can't afford to feed it to all of them! When I have shared it with the other cats they've loved it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
