Comments about Triumph Ocean Fish Formula Canned Cat Food:

I started using Triumph canned cat food in 2011 after my male cat had recurring episodes of crystal formation in his urine, which eventually caused blockage in his urethra resulting in low to no urine output. He also developed a urinary tract infection. I took him to the vet where he needed to be catheterized and put on IV antibiotics. Three days later he was much better (thank goodness) but my vet bill was close to $1,000. I asked my vet why this kept happening to my male cat. He said that the dry cat food I was feeding him caused the problem and that I should start using a prescription canned cat food that promotes urinary health. Of course I could only purchase the case of food from my vet and it was quite expensive (especially because I have four cats to feed not just one). I started doing my own research online and discovered an interesting book on cat health written by a vet from California. I purchased the book because she talked about the occurrence, causes and prevention of urinary crystals, especially in male cats. She stated that the key in preventing urinary crystals was totally related to diet, not just hydrating the cat, but also in eliminating all animal by products and vegetables in the cat's diet, something my own vet was unaware of. Felines do not naturally eat these ingredients, and it is not good for them. I learned a lot about reading labels and percentages of key ingredients to look for on cat food labels. My male cat has not had any more episodes and all my cats exhibit a lot more energy than when they ate dry food. Three of my cats are now 16 years old and do not look or act like they are. Believe it or not many brands of cat foods promoting urinary health contain animal by products as their very first ingredient. I've checked out many labels before finding Triumph. I am not disappointed, it's a healthy food choice for my cats and it's reasonably priced. I highly recommend it.

There are no bi-products. This meets Federal standards. Our four cats all like it and I like it as I'm sure they're all getting their basic nutrients.

Comments about Triumph Ocean Fish Formula Canned Cat Food:

As a multiple cat owner, my "fur kids" love anything "fishy"!! Since I feed both inside and outside cats, the larger can size is a great value too. Using Auto Ship makes this cost effective too and so great not having to run here and there getting their food.

Comments about Triumph Ocean Fish Formula Canned Cat Food:

As a foster mom for a local animal welfare org, I have a lot of mouths to feed every day. The Triumph canned foods have been very well accepted by all the cats. And, I appreciate the availability of the larger cans, which means I don't have so many cans to open for each meal. Plus, this product is generally less expensive than most of the other high-quality options.
