Only a week post ACL surgery, we discovered our JJ had Struvite stones and a raging bladder infection. Our vet put her on S/D formula hoping to avoid the cost of surgery. Even he was amazed at the fast (2 month) resolution of the stones! After spending so much on repairing her leg, I'll gladly pay for prescription food if it will save on future vet bills. We are now feeding C/D dry in the mornings and canned C/D at night in the recommended amounts and she LOVES it! Absolutely no problem getting her to eat (she wasn't a great fan of the S/D canned). My only concern is her rapid weight gain. In only 2 weeks on the C/D she has gained almost 2 lbs which is about a 6% weight gain. Since she is still not 100% with her leg, I'm sure it's partly due to less activity. The vet said there was a lower calorie formula for her and I'm headed there this week to purchase it. Thank you again for your wonderful products!

I can't believe all the junk by-products in this food!!!! I am appalled!! If my dog didn't have UTI, I would NEVER have her eat this stuff. It is greasy, doesn't smell appetizing and frankly, there are many times that she simply won't eat it because she doesn't like it. I feel sorry for my Abby. She is a Boxer/Pit/Pointer mix, very loving and happy dog, but she needs to eat … I used to feed her food made with lamb & barley and I wish that I could go back to something that is tasty for my dog.

And the cost is astronomical, too!

My Welsh Cardigan Corgi had bladder stones!

      By Pammy Jay

Comments about Hill's Prescription Diet Hills Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Canine Urinary Care Dry Food:

My 9 year old Welsh Cardigan Corgi recently required surgery for the removal of many bladder stones. Her vet recommended that we change her diet to Hill's Prescription Diet Urinary Care C/D Multi-Care kibble. After her surgery and a month on the new diet her poo now has changed from being pencil-thin back to being the normal size poo of her younger years. And the extra bonus is that she LOVES her new kibble! I am confident that her bladder stones can be managed with her new Hill's diet. Thank you thank you Hill's! Isn't she just too dang cute?

My dog hates her food. I have to add chicken broth on it so she will eat it but my vet said this is what she needs.
