Use Neo/Poly/Dex Ophthalmic Suspension to treat bacterial infections of the eyes and surrounding structures in your dog or cat.

What is Neo/Poly/Dex Ophthalmic Suspension?These are prescription eye drops. This medication contains antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medications that are effective in the treatment of bacterial infections in the eyes/eyelids.

How is this medication given?Neo/Poly/Dex Ophthalmic Suspension is topical medication that is placed directly in the eyes. Always follow your veterinarians exact instructions regarding the use of this medication.

To use this medication, place one hand under and around your pet's chin and lift upward so that your pet's eyes are looking towards the ceiling and squeeze the prescribed quantity of eye drops into the corner of the affected eye(s) without touching the bottle directly to the eye surface.

Always wash your hands before and after treatment.

If your pet receives other eye medication(s), allow at least 5 minutes between applying each medication. Always call your veterinarian if you do not know how to use this medication correctly.

How does this medication work?The antibiotics (neomycin and polymyxin B) stop the growth of bacteria in the eye and kill the bacteria eventually. Dexamethasone is a steroid that blocks the production of substances that trigger inflammation which helps to control related inflammation, redness, and itching.

What results can I expect? Eye infection(s) and associated inflammation should start to improve after 48-72 hours of treatment if used as directed. Dose and Administration: Apply this medication into your pets eyes exactly as directed. Your veterinarian will teach you how to apply Neo/Poly/Dex drops correctly.

Separate each eye medication your pet is receiving by at least 5 minutes. Never share this medication with other pets. If a dose is missed, give it as soon as you remember but do not double dose. Contact your veterinarian if you have questions regarding the use of this medication.

Uses:This is a medication that is placed directly into your pets eye(s). This medication helps to treat infection and inflammation in the eye(s).

Possible Side Effects: This medication is usually tolerated well. It can cause your pets eyes eye to sting for a short time when first applied. Dexamethasone can cause side effects like increased drinking/urination, and other symptoms if ingested. This medication can also cause infection more easily if used for longer periods.

An allergic reaction is possible and is more common in cats. Call your veterinarian immediately if your pet appears ill while using this medication.

Drug and Food Interactions: Tell your veterinarian about all medications and supplements your pet is taking prior to starting this medication.

Precautions:Animals who are allergic to the active ingredients should not be given this medication. Animals with fungal or viral infections of the eye should not get this medication. Neo/Poly/Dex should not be used in the eye if a corneal ulcer is present.

Storage:Store in a safe place at room temperature.
