Tablets can be given directly in the mouth or mixed with a small amount of food. Drontal Taste Tabs (dogs only) are flavored and chewable.
How does this medication work? Drontal tablets work by interrupting the susceptible parasites normal cell function by inducing paralysis. This results in eventual death of targeted intestinal worms.
What results can I expect? Drontal for Cats and Drontal Plus kills adult roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms. Drontal Plus also kills whipworms. Worms can be very small or digested so you may not notice them in the stool. This medication will not kill immature worms and will not prevent reinfection.
Results may not be immediate. It may take a few days to notice an improvement in your pets symptoms.
