What are the benefits of Advantage Multi for Dogs?

Formulated for: Only give Advantage Multi to dogs/puppies who are at least 7 weeks old and who weigh a minimum of 3 lbs.
How is this medication given? All contents of one applicator tube should be applied on your dogs skin once a month on the same day every month.
You can use this medication every month of the year or exclusively during mosquito season based on your veterinarians advice. If using this medication only during mosquito season, be sure to give the first dose within 30 days of the dog's first exposure to mosquitoes. The last dose should also be given within 30 days after the dog's last mosquito exposure.
Part the hair at the desired spot between your dogs shoulder blades and empty all contents of one tube on 3 or 4 spots on your dogs skin. Do not apply directly on the hair coat since absorption occurs through the skin.
Your dog should not lick the application site until the liquid is dry (about 30 minutes).
How does this medication work? The active ingredients (Imidacloprid and Moxidectin) work to target the affected parasites nervous system causing paralysis and death.
What results can I expect? Immature heartworms from the previous month plus adult fleas, hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms are killed with each monthly application . Fleas may remain for up to 6 weeks after an application.

Generic Name: Imidacloprid plus moxidectin.
Common Brand Name: Advantage Multi.
Dose and Administration: Apply this medication on the skin monthly. Part the hair between the dogs shoulder blades. Squeeze the entire quantity of liquid in one tube on 3 to 4 spots on the shoulder blade region. Do not apply to the hair coat if possible. Licking of the treatment site should be prohibited until all medication is dry (about 30 minutes).
Uses: Heartworm larvae , fleas plus roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms are treated and controlled with this medication.
Possible Side Effects: The application site may become irritated, itchy, or an odor or residue may be observed. More severe reactions can cause tremors or other neurological symptoms.
Some dogs can experience an allergic reaction to Advantage Multi.

Drug and Food Interactions: Discuss all medications with your vet prior to starting Advantage Multi.
Precautions: Never give this medication to dogs who are allergic to imidacloprid or moxidectin.
Do not apply Advantage Multi if your dog is less than 7 weeks of age, less than 3 lbs., or if he/she is sick, debilitated, or underweight.
Storage: Store Advantage Multi at room temperature in a safe and dry place in your home.
